Second most favorite Pils of Mine! Smooth mühlviertler hops in nose and mouth. As fresh and clean as the bohemian spring water it’s made from, and just yummy. Clear gold in colour with a steady head and a long smooth finish. Yum! envane (586) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Clear yellow with a white head. Big herbal aroma. Taste is sweet honey/caramel malts with a long spicy hop finish. omhper (25742) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2004
Golden colour, rich head. Grassy nose. Dry, yet with deep, lightly raisiny, maltiness. Crisp and with lingering, hoppy bitterness.
A very good pils! danielst (420) - AUSTRIA - JUN 17, 2009
Draught at Universitätsbräuhaus as "Dr. Pils": Golden colour with an OK head. The aroma is that of citrus and grains and fairly light. Flavours are great fruity hops with a whiff of pine on a pale malt background. The bitterness is held medium, the texture is a slight bit oily. Although I’d like the hops to be more present in the aroma too, it’s still a great Pils, give it a try if you can! vyvvy (6732) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Pours clear yellow with a pillowy head sudsy head. The aroma has pale malt, uncooked dough, caramel and and some crust. Medium / light body with a quite a bit of micro carbonation. The flavor begins with sulfur, pale malt, bit of toast and grass - more on the sharp side than many. The finish is a bit spicier and grassier. Very refreshing and crisp.

Draught at Gasthaus Schifferer, AigenBückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 27, 2011
Top stable frothy head, much carbonaton, golden color. Nice herbal, hoppy aroma. Malty flavor, light sweetness, light spicy, light to medium bitter finish.
Bottle: Pours a nice rusty gold color with a fairly retentive head. The nose is very nice and crisp, pleasing toast and bread-heal notes with a semi-sweet and semi-bitter hop note that is as pure and unadultured as can be in a beer without anything in your face or covered up with malts. The flavor is just the right amount of biscuit and a clean brief finish. Crisp, delicate, and moderately sophisticated. Once I’m done sounding like a beer commercial, this beer really is good. Draught as Universitätsbräu Doktor Pils. Weak aroma, OK bready. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is slightly sweet, quite mild flowery hoppiness. Hint of bread, almost as if rye were added. Low bitterness.
