Schlappeseppel Pils is a golden light beer of dry taste as it is not focused on a wide full-bodied malt taste but on the particular emphasis on the aromatic hop and bitter taste. These herbal and/or lemon flavours of the hops are perceived evoking the interplay between nose and palate.
Formerly was 4.8% ABV. Contains: water, barley malt, hops, hop extract. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law from 1516.

Bottle from probier. Clear gold with a large frothy head. Aroma of dull hop. Flavour is crisp bitter citrus witha dry bready finish.

Pours light golden with a high head. Aroma hops, grass, hay. Slight buttery feel.

Tim Webb (442) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2012
On draught at the Hotel Kette in Wertheim. Somewhat above average light blond lagered beer, Reinheitsgebot standard. Not one to cart around the world I would suggest so the ratings below are likely to be more a commentary on the cold chain than the beer.

Lowenbrau (4142) - Asturias, SPAIN - MAY 25, 2012
330ml bottle. Bright gold with white head. Slightly bitter and dry.Average pilsener, nothing remarkable.

Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours clear yellow with a small white head on top. Smooth and dry with a short finish. Mild grain and quite hayish.

Miksu (5053) - Jyvskyl, FINLAND - APR 19, 2012
0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Golden color. Honeyish malty and peppery aroma. Honeyish flavor with peppery and herbal hops. Minerals and hint of paper in finish. Tastes a bit old (BB Jul 2012).

ganache (5854) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 21, 2012
Bottle by 18.07.2012. Light grass and malt in the nose, suuuper pale/clear yellow body with a sudsy off-white head. Taste is medially bitter, relatively clean, thin medium body with little in the way of malt or hop flavor, sort of like a bottle of soda water injected with a hop shot. Just not much here.

Botella 33 Cl. Cerveza rubia tipica alemana bastante rica y bebible. Para beber litros en buena compaia
