COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlappeseppel Special is brewed with special malts. These malts already contain caramelized sugar. About 60 % of the quality of this beer can be traced back to this harmonic flavour. The result is an amber-coloured, full-bodied, balanced beer.

Rune (12831) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 8, 2014
330ml swing-top bottle bought at a kiosk in Rüdesheim am Rhein. Shot and smoke when opened. Pours a fair, creamy white head with fine retention. Crystal clear golden-brown body. Spotty lacing. Good looking, indeed. Mild brown malty aroma, hints of grass as well. Comprehensive taste of caramel, honey, plums and yellow apples. Clean and mild on the swallow. Likable (Cabin, MS Serenade leaving Mannheim, 25.07.2014).

(20-07-2014) 33cl bottle @ Kulinarischen Schönbusch, Schönbuschsee, Aschaffenburg, Germany. Clear amber color, average creamy white fully lasting fair lacing head. Aroma quite much cereal, light roasted malt, slightly smoked feel. Taste light to medium sweetness, medium bitterness, hint of umami. Medium body, thin feel, average carbonation, light bitter-sweet finish with medium duration. Nice roasty but average lagerish beer.

Erzengel (8770) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUN 20, 2014
Frisch-hopfiger Geruch, süßlich-neutaler Antrunk.

imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2014
Bottled, 330ml at Martinz Bar, Wurzburg, Bavaria. Gold to amber with white head. This was quite smooth in character, less carbonation than many German beer recently tried, there is a fruity alcohol kick, some peachiness going towards a bitterness. I thought it was half decent.
