Originally rated on 9/19/08. I sure am glad i dont have to drink this stuff anymore. Watery flavor and mouthfeel, faint aroma of old grain. There are plenty of other more deserving light beers out there. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Looking at old high school photos from the 80’s and I came across several photos of parties. This jogged my memory so I shall do a retro review of a "quarters" beer from my past.
Aroma- not much memory of this, I do remember that we made fun of this and the other cheap beers that we played quarters with (Hamm’s, Fischer’s, Stroh’s, Falstaff and PBR Light) for smelling and tasting like the cans they came in.
Appearance- this is a very pale yellow brew.
Taste- the high school kid’s dream, very little beer taste but has alcohol in it.
Palate- Very watery with mild carbonation and a semi-dry finish.
Overall- This was not a good beer, but it was invaluable in my development. I miss the fact that Schlitz is gone.

Can (Old Notes)-Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of corn, grains, and slight sweetness. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew I snot bad tasting. bpar73 (1178) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Probably as good as any of the cheap, high volume light beers. Chill it to the point of freezing and it is ok. SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2010
This is a typical light beer. Pale golden yellow body with white head that disappears. Smells like a macro lager. Taste isn’t too bad. It has a hint of sweet to it. Its just as good (if not better) than most light lagers and its MUCH cheaper. This is a value beer (less than $10 a case) and it somewhat pays off.

Delicious from top to bottom of can. I even drank the spit that came with the final drop of Schlitz Light while I tipped the can over my face for 3 whole minutes. Don’t waste a drop. FROTHINGSLOSH (8139) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2007
Thanks to my father in law for supplying this one. Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a medium golden color with a large soapy white head. The aroma is sour, tangy and corny indusrial brew. The flavor was dry, tangy and a bit corny. Pretty darn good for a maco light beer. cheap (6074) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2007
Well, this stuff is better than Buttmonkey. Nice silver can and it is rather clean smelling with a little sweet corn in there. Has enough personality to be a regular pale lager instead of light. Does taste a little different than the regular schlitz. Only 33 cents per can, good lawnmower beer. Probably decent for a session too if money is an issue. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager, not bad. Has manners and can be appreciated by a frugal spender. Beerdedone (3452) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2006
Can. Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma of corn, grain, and slight hops. Flavor is watered down completely, corn, metal, slight bitterness. Thin, cheap, it only looked like beer. JohnnyOS (646) - Golden, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 3, 2006
Pours a light golden yellow. Aroma of corn, grains and some hops with a watery flavor muddled with some hops.
