Travlr (27105) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 31, 2016
Draft at the bierstuberl in Partenkirchen. Very slightly hazy maroon brown, tan ice cream cone head. Aroma of cocoa and burnt toast, sourdough brownies. Taste is raw brownie dough dipped in cocoa. Our favorite of four dunkels in the region that day. Delicious.

Draught at the brewpub in Amberg. Bamberg Jolly Day 1. 24/01/14. Clouded dark brown mahogany pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is wood, raisin and light smoked malt. Flavour is wood, treacle, smoked wood char. Somewhat sweet raisin in the finish. Medum full body, medium carb.

(draught) pours a murky ruby-brown colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of diacetyl, lactic acid, roasted malts and light vanilla, with a hint of liquorice and raisins. flavour is mostly the same, heavy lactic acid, with lots of popcorn, some caramel and husky pale malts in the tart finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Day 1 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly tap at Schloderer, Amberg 24/01/14. Murky chestnut brown with a good sized light beige head. Nose is toffee, biscuit, brown bread dough, sugars. Taste comprises brown bread, light vanilla notes, brown sugar, dark malts, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok Dunkel.

Bottle on a train during Jolly to Bamberg 2014. Hazy amber beer with a nice beige head. Malty caramel aroma, toffee, chocolate, roasted, vanilla, figs, biscuits. Malty roasted flavor, caramel, cocoa, vanilla, hoppy notes, toffee, some dark bread.

500 ml flip-top bottle in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Pours a cloudy brown color with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is dry, and spicy with a dry, malt background. Palate is baby smooth and ends a little sweet. Very nice one.

It’s hazy dark amber with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice, caramel and a touch of smoke. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of licorice, roasted malt, caramel, light smoke and the finish is spicy and herbal.

Dark bronze brown colour with a small to average sized light tan head. Strong maltiness, grain, mild chocolate, mild hops and some sweetness. The flavour is mild bitterness, some hops, maltiness. grain and mild sweetness. Balanced and tasty. Tasty really.

[email protected] Pint Pub, Helsinki. Reddish brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild toasted notes, some nuts, mild raisins and some slight toffee. Flavour is mild roasted coffee, ashes, nuts, toffee and some slight wooden notes too. Pleasantly balanced.
