Bottle. Nice and tasty. Aroma is floral and spicy. Flavour has average duration, and it’s sweet, with light bitterness. Oily in the palate, and medium body. Yellow colour, with a frothy white head. The Etruscan (704) - Tuscany, ITALY - NOV 21, 2009
White weak head. Deep goden olour. Aroma is malty, with grainy notes and a hint of hoppy and alcohol. Flavor is malty with bready tones, very watery, eding in a no-carachter finish. Medium bodied. daniele (9463) - ITALY - SEP 28, 2009

I can se how this beer languishes in the 36th percentil at 2.92 as it does look like, at least at first glance, to be a souped up lager with a big dose of malt and alcohol. But, the sweet malt action is very well crafted and the slippery palate structure, not doubt helped in part through the alchol, is really quite attractive. The flavours almost stray in Belgian Ale territory with pongy candied malts. Nice.

Bottle labeled Magalotti 1845 Bock. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Light malt aroma, slightly sweet. Very average. BeerChaser0078 (909) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle. The bottle I tried was labelled ’Magalotti 1845 Bock’. Poured clear golden with a quickly diminishing, little white head. Smelled like cooking lager with metallic and soapy overtones. Flavour fairly bland as well with grains and a bit of sweetness. Alcohol well hidden though. A bit of a letdown really. LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - JUL 24, 2009
Sampled in Kitzbuhl. A pretty nice brew that was good out of the bottle. A good darkness. A pretty good spicy twang to it. Well made and intreging. obguthr (6536) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - MAY 30, 2009
Grain and lemon grass aroma. Clear yellow with a thick lacing white head. Cloying with noticeable alcohol. Sweet grass finish. The alcohol is distracting and disruptful. Not at all up my alley, but to date, nothing from this brewer has been.
