Reviewed 12/25/2012. 11.2 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a lighter straw color with fantastic clarity. The head is a one finger white color with okay retention. Basically, it’s everything you’d expect a decent pilsner to look like. S: I was really wary when I first popped open the weird pulltab and whiffed a MASSIVE amount of skunk, but in the glass it’s calmed down well. Lots of zesty noble hops with no real malt aroma. Weak in general, but not bad. T: There’s almost a green pepper flavor that really catches me off guard - yeah, it definitely tastes like bell pepper. Not really a good thing. There’s a bit of grass and sweet malts on the finish, but that off flavor really throws everything off guard. M: Well carbonated and nicely light - there’s no mouthfeel problems keeping it from going down easy, just the flavors. O: This...doesn’t work. The pepper character kills what could have been a good pilsner. At the very least, it would pair decently with Mexican food.

Draft at World of Beer in Reston. It poured a clear straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of light grain as was the taste. Clean mouth feel. Nice Pils.

Mała butelka pita w domu. Kolor jasny, złoty, lekkie zamglenie, piana słaba, szybko znika. Aromat trawiasty w smaku trochę chmielu i dość mocna goryczak, ogólnie dominuje chmiel i goryczka, nic nadzwyczajnego.

<33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A pale straw pour with a billowing white head that settles quickly; grassy hop aroma; bready body with a light grassy bitterness; and little in the way of a finish except a honeyed sweetness. A drinkable, but very ordinary pils.

0.5l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Clear golden body with huge bubbles and a thin white foam. Aroma of hay, grains, floral hops and a hint of soap. Taste of grains, sugar syrup, bread and grassy hops. OK Pilsner.

Luneylane (192) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - JAN 22, 2017
A bottle from Citysuper in the basement of Sogo at Zhongxiao Fuxing, drunk at home. Aroma: grassy hops. Appearance: pale amber, slightly hazy, minimal head. Palate: light-bodied, rather thin texture, soft carbonation. Reassuringly bitter at the end, but doesn’t hang around. Taste: medium bitter, though not sure about ’Hop King’. Hops do predominate. A respectable pilsner-type, but nothing remarkable.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with some malty notes. Sweetish, estery and malty flavour with bitter notes of hops. Estery and mildly bitter aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing special. Remarkably well-preserved despite being 16 months past the BBD.

A bottle, best before sep.2015. Clear pale color with white head. Aroma is hoppy and grainy. Taste is sweetish with notes of hops, but too watery. Ok pilsner.
