Bottled 01/09/12. An orangey gold coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Sweet oaky notes in the nose with maybe a touch of vanilla. Predominantly malty smell otherwise. A decent length of flavour, Typicalof a vienna, especially as theres no evidence of the whiskey malt in the mouth.

Bottle. Reddish light copper color with a foamy head. Slightly metallic aroma of caramel and hops. Acidid medium bitter taste. Some caramel flavor. Dry on palate.

330ml bottle. Pours orange gold with a medium head. Aroma is boiled seers and fruity malt. Taste is bready malt to start. Some fruit on the finish. Bit bland.

New recipe bottle. Though I think this one is 4 years old. A bit on the old side for a 5%er. It pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with a foamy white head that leaves some nice lacing. Smells like an old, malty lager. A bit more aromatic perhaps, a different character with the whisky malt but not too much. The flavor is unique. It is rather spicy with a butterschotchy caramel running through it. Well-carbed. It is decent. Would love to try it fresh.

Cristalina.Corona marfil,cremosa y persistente.Encajes copiosos de principio a fin.Malta caramelo,matices azucarados y una muy sutil nota de malta de whisky. Entrada punzante.Sabores de gentil tendencia malteada y lupulos nobles.Trazos herbales.Cuerpo medio, carbonatacin media-alta.Final de suave amargor.Toques de madera y lgero ahumado en el retrogusto.Agradable asimilacin. 330bottle.Flute glass.Enjoyed on mar12.Amberish gold in color.Clear. Off-white lasting creamy crown.Copious rings are left from top to the bottom. Caramel malt,hints of sugar & a very subtle whisky malt note to the nose. Puckering upfront. Gentle malt tendency & noble hop flavors.Herbal hues. Medium body,medium-high carbonation.Smooth bitter finish,wood & slightly smoky touches on the aftertaste.Pleasant drinkability.

Bottle at yespr. Clear amber coloured with a medium sized white head. Malty aroma of fruits, acarmel and dried fruits. Sweet and malty flavour of grass and hops with notes of caramel. Hoppy finish.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2015 Tasted from bottle into tulip. Poured a nice clear copper color with persistent off-white foam and lace. Aromas of sweet malt, marshmallows, fruity esters, faint peat-smoke. Lots of residual sweetness, not cloyingly sweet but close, just enough hops to notice. Smooth, creamy, almost syrupy mouthfeel. Would make a good breakfast beer. Its easy to imagine this being distilled into a fine Scotch whisky.

This has a wonderful malt smell....and a good malt flavor. Good sweet beer, tastes underfermented but it works.
