pintbypint (3668) - Edmonton, Alberta, - DEC 6, 2012
330ml brown bottle. Gold coloured brew, clear. White head with fine bubbles, a bit of lacing. Nose has sweet malts, bready notes. Taste has grains, bread and a touch of caramel sweetness. Finishes with medium graininess, touch of toasted grain and faint noble type hops. Average body and carbonation. Pretty simple vienna, drinkable, not very challenging. Barely any trace of whisky malt.

Calisky (2961) - ALSACE, FRANCE - JUL 28, 2017
Ambrée, légère mousse. Nez caramel et leger vieux fruits. Gout caramel, levure, un peu chêne rapide et aqueux en bouche. Fin sur le caramel un peu astringente, voir artificielle. Corp leger.

blackisle (2634) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - JUL 2, 2017
Bottle 33cl. poured into a lager glass. Clear pale amber, mid-size frothy off-white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing; aroma toasted malts, caramel, candy sugar, light fruit (apricot, berries); taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, bit wood; sweetbitter aftertaste, malty, light woody notes maybe from whiskey barrels; medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation; overall on the thin side, not really convincing.

MarcoBasile (444) - DENMARK - JUN 9, 2017
Pours clear golden amber with a slightly off white head. Aroma of sweet malt and some toffee. Light. Taste is equally as sweet at first but goes into a decent hop bitterness.

Piw (1154) - Rüsselsheim, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2017
330ml Flasche. Klar und dunkelgolden mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Etwas muffig. Süßlich. Mild. Leichter Körper.

Bamsen78 (5451) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2017
Bottle, 16 months past the BBD. Pours hazy orangeish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with dusty and hoppy notes. Dusty onset with sweetish notes of yeast and malt and some fruity and acidic hints. Bitter touches of hops. Estery aftertaste with dusty hints. Not that bad for the style. Nothing illuminating, though.

Luneylane (201) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - JAN 21, 2017
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2017 A bottle from Citysuper in the basement of Sogo at Zhongxiao Fuxing, drunk at home. Aroma: vegetable, slightly sour. Appearance: a lovely clear dark amber, practically no head. Palate: medium-bodied, rather oily texture, soft carbonation. The finish is astringent, noticable boozy for its ABV - is this the barrels? Taste: I can’t decide if it’s sweet or sour. I’m going to have to mark this one down, as I can’t abide whiskey, and the booze leaves a slightly unpleasant afterburn.

Nevalainen (791) - FINLAND - JAN 14, 2017
Expiracy date sep.2015. Cloudy orange color with white head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Light sweet taste of caramel and maybe whiskey. It has too light body to be a really good beer.

Maits (508) - ESTONIA - NOV 14, 2016
Clear dark amber color beer with thick little white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel. Taste is malts, caramel and little bit of smoke. Light sweet and bitter. Maybe little bit too sweet. Light body. Overall not bad.

Wendigo (531) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 26, 2016
0.33l bottle. Malty aroma, caramel notes. Almost clear amber color, white head. Taste is the same as aroma, the tones are unbalanced. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation and malty, bitter finish. Very unbalanced beer, average.

Padron4KM (810) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2016
11.2 oz bottle. Amber, with a small, short lived, head and minimal lace.
Aroma is malty, toast with a touch of smoke, yeast, caramel.
Flavor is sweet, malty, yeast, smoke. A bit too sweet and unbalanced.
