Beltramelli (470) - Campinas, - OCT 6, 2008
A cerveja do monstro Nessie tem coloração âmbar, creme pouco denso mas medianamente consistente. No aroma e no sabor, deu pra sentir bastante o malte torrado na turfa, típico das brejas do estilo. Final longo e levemente tostado.

Bottle. Poured amber/orange with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, toasted caramel, alcohol, light smoke and bread. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

From old tasting notes. Amber orange color. Bubbly beige head. Wonderful sweet malty nose. Bittersweet toasted smoky malt flavor is both warming and full bodied. Big mouthfeel dominates the palate. Long sticky aftertaste.

Bottle. Oh wow, this is retired! Wonder how old this bottle is... Pours a golden amber with a low white head that retains poorly. Sweet caramel, grains, marzipan, hint of smoke and wet cardboard.

En god maltet smag, med en let syrlighed i slutningen. God fyldig, men er en anelse for syrlig i eftersmagen efter min mening.

"not much on the peat-smoked malt in the nose or the flavor...and for that matter, it’s not Red, as the label implies, but ever so slighlty redder than your average macrobrewed lager. I can smell and taste the faintest of smoke, but only because i’m looking for it. nice body, thanks to a respectable 7.3 abv, thicker than it looks and sweet, which ends up being the predominant factor in the nose and flavor as there is a complete lack of hop presence."

Bottle 330 ml from Austria. Amber colored, malty sweetish. Alcohol not really subtle. Didn’t like it.

NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Dark amber pour with a small white head. Aromas of sweet biscuit malt and caramel. Flavor is pretty similar, very sweet. Slight smoke in the finish but it’s subtle. Decent but a bit one-dimensional.

Patrickctenchi (6691) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Pours bubbled, weak brown with a minimal, off-white head. Strong breadiness, grain aroma. Taste is sweet....malt and breadheel, a hint of salt. Very light smokiness...more in aftertaste... Seems a little off.

Malty aroma. Amber color with medium white head. Tastes sweet and a lot like raisins. Body is light and texture is oily. Carbonation average with short finish. Overall, it’s an above average beer which matches nuts very good.
