COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The once strongest beer in the world is back ! Brewed only once a year on December 6. Samichlaus is aged for 10 months before bottling. This beer is perhaps the rarest in the world. Samichlaus may be aged for many years to come. Older vintages become more complex with a creamy warming finish. Serve with hardy robust dishes and desserts, particulary with chocolates, or as an after dinner drink by itself. Brewed under the exclusive licence of Feldschlsschen-Hrlimann-Holding, Switzerland.

Buena cerveza para tomar con un buen entrecot!!!!. Bien equilibrada y con un fuerte sabor que no te va a dejar indiferente. Bonito color caramelo y cierto paladar a chocolate

Bready aroma, sweet malty initially with yeasty finish. Moderately carbonated, robust mouth. Sweet and strong beer without a lot of that unpleasant overly strong sweetness.

Beery Christmas #06. 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear chestnut brown with medium eggshell white head. Aroma: sirup, raisins, brown sugar alcohol and a trace of ethyl acetate. Taste: High sweetness with medium bitterness. Notes of sirup, brown sugar, cinnamon and fruits. Palate: medium bodied, sticky texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle. Sensoric. Dark amber/burn orange, clear with tiny head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is heavy, really heavy. First of all its packed with malts - mainly caramel with candy/brown sugar, lightly toffee notes. Secondly there is intense aroma of dark fruits - raisins and dried plums, some figs. Lightly boozy in the background with some vinous notes. Taste is sweet and constant in the end the beer is slightly bitter with moderate alcohol warming. Full body, sticky and thick texture, lively carbonation, finish is fruity (plums) with strong candy-like backbone, slightly broken by bitter notes. This beer is simple - heavy, sugary malts with intense aroma of dark fruits, but everything is well balanced and appears in the right moment during degustation. All that goodies cover high ABV content well. In general very good beer for cold winter nights.

Bottle, 4 years old. Aroma is like a port wine, with ripe fruit, raisin, boozy malt and caramel. Heavy sweet taste of thick sweet malt, ripe red fruit, boozy oak and a long warming boozy fruity finish. I like this quad-doppelbock-port stuff.

A perfectly clear dark amber beer with little to no head. Nose has very sweet malty aromas with sherry, caramel, prune and raisin notes. Taste is sweet with some bitterness that lingers on the palate and balances out the sweetness. Medium carbonation and very rich mouthfeel. Well made and balanced for such a heavy beer. Nice maltiness and complexity.

2014 bottle poured into a tulip glass. Burnt caramel color with a small white head that quickly disappears. Nose is sweet and cloying, taste is very similar. I was very disappointed in this one. The alcohol burn wasnt as bad as I expected, but the taste was horrible. This tasted like a sweet wine and/or beer gone wrong....PASS!

Aroma: caramel, roasted malt and wood Taste: sugar, caramel, malt and some alcohol, though very low alcohol feeling. Sweet aftertaste. Good beer keeping in mind its ABV

Clear dark ruby colour, tan light head that fades away in a second. Sweet aroma, hints of molases, nuts, caramel, malt and BOOZE, lots of it. Strong and sweet taste, malty sensation, strong (really strong) alcohol taste, something like licorice. Nice aftertaste, always on the alcoholic sensation, but a very pleasent one. Medium body, soft carbonation, thick texture. A really good doppelbock if you like strong beers. Stay away from it if you dont like sweet flavors.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear red-brown with a quickly disappearing small white head. the aroma is malty with caramel and toffee. Full body with soft carbonation; heavily sweet but not unpleasant. The alcohol is pretty good hidden regarding the high ABV. The flavor is dominated by the sweet malt, brown suggar, some caramel, spices, dried fruits.

Definitely unlike anything I have come across yet in my journey through trying foreign brews. It is hard to pin this down as a beer because of how alcoholic it comes off as. Very malty sweet with spices that does not cover its big ABV well enough. However, it is a true example of a winter drink as it warms the belly and puts the senses at ease. One bottle was all I could do to drink it for an hour sip by sip. A true experience for those looking to sample something outside the ordinary.
