COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The once strongest beer in the world is back ! Brewed only once a year on December 6. Samichlaus is aged for 10 months before bottling. This beer is perhaps the rarest in the world. Samichlaus may be aged for many years to come. Older vintages become more complex with a creamy warming finish. Serve with hardy robust dishes and desserts, particulary with chocolates, or as an after dinner drink by itself. Brewed under the exclusive licence of Feldschlsschen-Hrlimann-Holding, Switzerland.

25-12-2016. Bottle. Bottled in 2008. Very well bottle conditioned. Color: Dark reddish brown. No head. Taste: Very sweet, like syrup. Alcohol, chocolate and hints of caramel and brown sugar. Very nice beer, but a little bit too sweet in my opinion.

Bottle from Spar Austria. Amber clear colour, with quickly falling head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, honey, dried fruits, alcohol a bit. Taste is very sweet, malty, caramel, honey, mollasses, some noble hops. Some bitterness in the aftertaste, but the beer is deffinitely more on the malty side. Alcohol is present. Overall pleasant and good beer.

Los gustos evolucionan. Recuerdo haber disfrutado mucho de ella pero a da de hoy se me hace dura de beber. Un color precioso, sin apenas retencin, comprensible con su graducacin. Aroma a frutas maduras, pltano y alcohol. En boca ms de lo mismo. Para mi gusto excesivamente dulce, alcohlica y nada de equilibrio u otros puntos que den al disfrute.

Rating 700: Murky brown with almost no head. Aroma is clove, phenols, fresh hoppy citric notes, slight caramel. Sweet caramel, slightly phenolic stuff, bitter chocolate. Heavy oily and not quite easy to drink. Like a too heavy Weizenbock. Version from 2014: Even more phenolic.

330 mml bottle tasted on the 11/12/2016. Reddish amber colour with a minimal white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and sugar. Taste is so sugary and alcoholic that the beer is, in my opinion, not balanced. Sweet finish and aftertaste. Next one please!

Black colour with a tan head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, liquorice and some dried fruits. Taste of dried red fruits, plum, some liquorice and alcohol. Some dark chocolate but still with a distinct sweetness of burnt sugar. Almost an overwhelming taste with much alcohol. Medium body.
