Bottle. Dark copper color. Aroma is alcohol and raisins, toffee and a little woody quality.
Flavor is spices, warm alcohol, dried fruits and malts. Rigtig god sammen med kransekage ! yespr (45464) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2007
33 cL bottle, 2005 vintage. Pours slight darker orange compared to helles. Dark roasted and dried fruity aroma. Fullbodied. Flavour is sweet raisin like and with a mild malt base. Solid warming finish. Far more complex in flavour than the helles - but also with a slight oldish feel. Ungstrup (37633) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2003
[Vintage 2003 sampled 25 november 2003] This is a fantasticly amber colored beer with no head. The aroma is very powerful with notes of fruit especially apricot. The flavor is also sweet with strong notes of apricot. This beer is great as a digestive. All in all it is plain great. joergen (28152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2004

Bottled. Reddish copper colour, small head. Aroma is alcohol, vanilla and caramel along with some yeasty hints. Flavour is alcohol, sugary, caramellish and warming. Pleasant to sip from, but was not hard drinking fast either. It gently rips your senses and suddently you note you are not sober anymore... omhper (25139) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2003
Bottled. 2001 version sampled in October 2001.Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 26, 2005
Pours red-brown and thick.
Super malty with syrupy sweetness. Will by all likeliness gain by 10-25 years of aging.
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Vintage 2000 - and probably stored for 2-3 years.Probably one of the worlds most sophisticated beers. The altered citizenship from Switzerland to Austria hasn’t really changed any of it’s qualities. Mahogany in colour. Extremely big nose as soon as you open the bottle. Figs, dates but mostly...raisins! Almost like a good portwine. This is simply yummy stuff and one of my absolute favourites. 291204 Travlr (24875) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 19, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2010 2006 bottle courtesy of brad, thanks! Light and very clear amber, no head or lacing. Aroma of caramel, similar taste. Pretty straightforward. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2010

Warning! Early amateur rating! Super strong deep rich taste with a fruity undertone. Spritzy characteristics and a bitterish porty finish. Nice!
