Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market. Clear amber, pond scum head. Strong but not overly pleasant sweet winey malt aroma, like a supercharged macro lager. Tastes of strong alcohol but hopless and sweet malt - again, like a supercharged macro lager. Smooth. Not great.

Zarrach76 (128) - Grenoble, FRANCE - JAN 22, 2017
Bouteille 33cl, V&B Grenoble.

Clear orange with almost no head. Aroma is sweet malt and floral honey, tastes the same with mild alcohol, nice thick mouthfeel. Good one.

Achetée au Hyper U de Riedisheim. Très licoreuse au nez. Elle est ronde et alcoolisée en bouche. Presque un goût de liqueur. Bonne bière moins alcoolisée que la Samichlaus.

08.12.2016 - Thic caramel malt nose paired with bit alcohol, vanilla. Slightly "schnapsig". Palate is low but interesting carbonated, thick malt body. Loads of caramel again vanilla, hints of schnapsiger alcohol. This one really got something of a cognac.

0.33 l bottle from ’Rudat’, bottled in November 2014. Clear, golden amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, malty aroma of caramel, honey and a bit of grains. Very sweet and malty taste of mainly honey, vanilla, caramel and a touch of sultana raisins, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, minimally warming-alcoholic finish. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Overall a bit monotonous, but quite pleasant to drink. Very sweet as well, but I like that!

Kita (1990) - Koper, SLOVENIA - NOV 30, 2016
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep amber color with medium soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dandelion syrup, honey and grass. Taste starts with heavy sweet toasted malt and honey, following is vegetably and grassy with woody note, mouthfeel is spicy, warming and alcoholic, while finish is medium bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Way too sweet...

330ml bottle, 23 years old (not a typo), shared by Phil. Completely flat beer, because age, mahagony brown. Nose is varnish, old leather, mint. A strange combo. Flavor is more straightforward, malt, dried fruit, plums, caramel. Really dry mouthfeel, almost a like sherry.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). BB 1996 (yes you read it right!). Clear dark amber color. Tiny to almost no head. Sweet, raisins, prunes, alcohol in aroma. Nice multi layer aroma. Spearmint like tingle, sweet, raisins, herbal in taste. Sweet, hard candy and minty in aftertaste. Aged but in so nice way! Makes me smile. So mellow. Excellent brew.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark golden with a small white head. The aroma is grassy with sweet malts. Full body with low carbonation, a medium to heavy sweetness and a light hoppy bitterness in the finish. The flavor is dominated by the sweet malts, maple syrup, prune, mead and some noticeable alcohol.
