Bottle at Foersters, Berlin. Very pale yella and clear, yeast floats down like a chemtrail. Dont get much of anything from the aroma. Tastes like ripe strawberries, wheat and a bit watery. Interesting. Watery and short finish. Well it didnt look ordinary and the taste sure is different with that fruity yeast, but in the end I have to admit I didnt care for it so much. Im surprised by this take on the style, quite different from the classic Bavarian weisse and not like the Northern variety either.

On tap ať Dno Pytle, Praha Typical cloudy weizen, solid standard bearer of the style. Nothing remarkable but this was expected. If you are fond of this style (I am) this will satisfy you if not "wow" you. Served in a proper "stieffel" (boot) glass which is a plus. As my evening aperitif it hit the mark.
