bierkoning (13299) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUL 28, 2008
Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with licorice. Buisman. Decent, but unspectacular dunkel.

Rich brown. Sweet woody and nutty aroma. Fairly simple taste. Very quaffable. Some sweet body.

pivnizub (10576) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 2, 2007
Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Chestnut-amber coloured, smaller and quite stable off-white head; sweetish-caramelly, a bit fruity nose with a toasted touch; solid sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit sticky; fruity-(with the faintest touch of sourness)bitter finish. A decent beer, no doubt, but a bit too much on the sweet side...........

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 3, 2009
It is dark brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, slightly sour, nuts and hints of chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, nuts and caramel. It ends dry with a touch of citrus.

MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2007
(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a big, not very persistent light-beige foamy head, leaving lace. Moderately sweet and roasted, earthy malt aroma cacao, lighter notes of caramel and herbal hops. Sweet flavour, roast-malty taste with chocolate, cacao and caramel on a light herbal background; medium bodied with a mellow mouthfeel. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish, roast-malty with a rounded herbal hoppy touch. Tastes like a lighter dark Bock, pleasant and hearty stuff.

bottle, Danke nach Bochum! Amber-brown colour, medium-sized head. Flavours of cocoa powder, caramel and roasetd malt. Slightly hoppy. Well-balanced Dunkel.

Pour from a bottle at The Taste of DC event in Washington DC. Poured a dark brown color with a medium-sized dark tan head. Aroma was medium roasted malts, light crisp German lager notes. Touch of grassy notes. Roasted sweet malt character.

Beer No. 15 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Bottled 500ml. -in small peculiar bar in little Bavarian town called Münchshof. Clear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramellish nose. Sweet malty, caramel and dried fruits with not so pleasant metallic finish.

2.6
motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 28, 2014
bottled. dark amber, very pale for a dunkel, minimal head; aroma of red berry and porridge; simple steady flavours, cereal and then tinny bitterness
