It’s unclear brownish (not dark) with a huge head. The aroma has notes of yeast, fruit and wheat. The sweet flavor has notes of yeast, caramel, fruit and wheat, and the finish is yeasty - very nice dunkle weisse!

Bottle by 19.10.12. Nose of light wheat and heavy yeast, really heavy yeast, with some light phenols and esters. Body a trüb chestnut brown with a rocky tan head. Taste is only lightly sweet, very little bitterness, but has some rye and a lot of spice. Wheat, not too slimy, darker malts a little dingy, though, and a short blip of crispness smooths out in the light-medium body.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, fine malty-yeasty, not too sweet. Some dry notes in the background. Well balanced finish. Quite drinkable. Soft-malty aftertaste. Nice!

Cloudy dark orange colour with an off white head. Lots of banana and caramel in both flavour and aroma. I have never been an dunkelweizen fan...until now!

Grima (2511) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - MAR 13, 2012
The beer in the glass is reddish-brown, with fine, off-white head. It smells malty-sweet, caramelly, roasty and subtle nutty. Starts very mild malty, very sweet, with lots of banana and caramel. The middle part remains pleasantly mild, yeasty, banana and strong aromas of caramel again. Goes into a very yeasty finish with caramel and banana!

500ml beer. Organic. Mindestens haltbar bis: 08.11.11.

It pours a cloudy brown cider color with a creamy but foamy head that billows tall. It recedes with some lacing leaving a froth of head above the beer.

The smell is quite pleasant, dominated by clove, dark wheat bread, and caramel.

The flavor is lemony with some clove and an interesting tartness. There is an underlying roasted malt flavor that is a welcome addition.I think whatever flavor problems ailed this one before were fixed.

The mouthfeel is a bit overcarbonated. Overall it isn’t bad.

500 ML bottle in Germany. Nice dark color with matching head. Lots of banana taste with some other flavors mixed in. Was a bit watery but a good Dunkle Weisse.

Bottle. Over-ripe banana, clove and sour caramel malt aroma. Cloudy yellow-brown color with small head. Sweet-sour apple, banana, and toffee malt flavor. Medium body. Decent.
