On tap at ’Crocodile’. Clear, dark brownish amber with a medium large, very dense, stable, off-white head. Very faint, sweetish-malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and slight hints of raisins. Sweetish, malty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, nuts, a touch of honey and slight hints of raisins, followed by a short, slightly earthy-bitter, moderately dry finish. Bottle (random place at Trier, Germany). Pours dark amber-brown with beige head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, malty. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel. Finish has some dry bitterness. Carbonation is on the high side. Overall: bit dead and over carbonated, as typical for a macro, but otherwise this is really good. Fullpintofbeer (377) - Bristol, Somerset, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2016

[backlog] 01-09-15 // bottle at Bagatelle, Mainz. Pour a dark brownish colour. Light beige head. Malty with a light bitterness. Average. rodbod (357) - Motherwell, SCOTLAND - OCT 4, 2016
Pours a clear dark brown with a persistent frothy white head. Nose is sweet caramel malt plus a perfumed floral note (hops I guess). Taste is dry, light some tasty malt, a kind of savoury salty note, and more of the floral. Palate is light, fizzy, and somewhat savoury.
I bought this as part of my ongoing effort to educate myself as regarding beers I don’t like and would generally avoid. This beer is too light for my taste, and has that somewhat fusty note I just don’t like. So tell me Ratebeer, what should I be appreciating in this brew?

0,5 l Flasche. Aroma: malzig, getreidig, leicht säuerlich. Erscheinung: Braunes Bier, cremefarbener Schaum, sehr schöne Gardine. Geschmack: malzig, getreidig, leicht bitter, minimal rauchig. Nachgeschmack: Bitterkeit kommt spät. Gesamt: Gut trinkbar, nichts weltbewegendes. Bamsen78 (5400) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 25, 2016
Draught in a restaurant in Düsseldorf. Pours clear copper brown with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of yeast and caramel and hints of dust. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with notes of hops and yeast and hints of dust. Mild, bitterish, estery aftertaste. Rather watery and ein bisschen zu sweetish to be really good, but definitely drinkable. Idiosynkrasie (7516) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 19, 2016
