Beerhunter111 (23757) - Beerland, GERMANY - OCT 1, 2016
On tap at the brewpub. Orange braunes Bier mit mittelgroßen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch mild karamellig malzig, ansonsten neutral. Geschmack ist leicht süß malzig, karamellig, nussig, dezent rauchig. Okay!

ElDesmadre (4356) - Mikołów, POLAND - FEB 9, 2015
Draught at the brewpub. Toasted malty beer with some fruity yeast notes. Some anisee and root spices in the creamy soft flavour. Unusual, excellent altbier. Oh, and that ceramic cup they serve it in was amazing.

Erzengel (9892) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAY 18, 2014
Smooth-bitter in the beginning. The beer starts malty-smooth, slightly bitter. Hints of yeast. The mainpart is malty-bitter, full-bodied, smooth. In the aftertaste the beer is bitter-malty, earthy with hints of nuts. Nice and interesting. And quite dry. 11/12/11/12

Mariusz (12352) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAR 17, 2014
Pours a dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, light fruitness. Flavor of toasted malt, light hops, fruit, and nuts with a somewhat bitter finish.

ThirstyBird (3027) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2013
Served in a ceramic mug but has a tan head that stays. The smell is earthy sweet malt with some hops coming through. The taste starts off with sweet malt, a little caramel and ends dry and slightly bitter. Light+ body with smooth mild carbonation.

fiulijn (21522) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 7, 2013
Draught at the brauhaus; served in a ceramic mug
Amber color (thus lighter than the Altbier), clean, with creamy head. The aroma is similar to the Altbier, malt and smoke, delicate, but without the earthy defect of the Altbier. Good body, strong caramel flavor, rather dry, with nice smoke touch, a bit meaty; correct bitterness; this one as well presents a light metallic touch in the final.

omhper (26030) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 11, 2012
Draught at the brewpub. Served in a lovely, unusual altbier stein. Probably amber in colour, mid sized head. Smoky nose. Dry and lightly fruity. Complex flavour of wood, crystalized sugar and earth. Lightly salty with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Mid bitter finish. Excellently drinkable, unique beer that truly deserves wider recognition.

pivnizub (10956) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2012
Tapped: Presumably deep amber coloured, stable off-white creamy head, fresh subtle fruity traces in the caramelly-roasty nose, distinctive herbal hops underneath plus a slight rural touch; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, creamy MF; kind of smoky-malty aromas in the rural herbal and caramelly finish. Very well quaffable stuff…

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 4, 2012
From Tap @ the Brewpub. The head is robust. It tastes hoppy-bitter, fresh and a bit sweet. Ok, but not so interesting. 10/8/8/8/-/8

Koelschtrinker (22488) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 1, 2012
Lecker! 11/12/11/12//12
