12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Okay aromas with good balance of citrus hops and dark/bread malt notes; with very poor strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a good pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Other than the basically non-existent aromas; the flavors were really good and well balanced for the style. A nicely enjoyable offering.

There really isn’t much to this beer. It is very cloudy orange brown with a small, white head. It smells like almost nothing, maybe a bit of nutty malt. There is a bit of sweetness and some floral hops once you taste it at least. It is medium bodied with mild carbonation but still come off as a bit watery in the finish due to lack of flavor. I will give this mild credit for being relatively free from off flavors but that’s about it.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Schmohz makes some pretty bad beers, but this is a surprisingly solid pale ale. Balanced with medium hops. If you have to drink a Schmohz, I’d strongly recommend this one.

WTF. Amber pour and carbonation crazy, taking 5 minutes just to pour the damn beer. Just sweet malt aroma. Taste is sweet malt hint of caramel and.... nope, no hops. Crazy carbonation and thin body. Pail ale? Book.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Darker amber brew with one finger of steady off white head. Good head retention. Mild aroma of grass and a little earth. Taste is mild - a little malt at the start with a little grass in the finish. Taste nice but rather one dimensional and also rather weak. MIght be nice on hot summer day.

12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with an off white head. Thinner all the way around. Some citrus and caramel.

Bottle from my ulty buddy - thanks, Steve! Pretty watery amber pour, with a thin foamy head. Faded hops and slightly acrid notes in the nose. Sweet but artificial tasting malt notes clash with the slightly bitter hops. Pretty icky example of the style.

Bottle. Cloudy amber color with thin white head. Hoppy aroma but taste is astringent and finish is very sharp and not pleasant.

Hardly a hop to be found, this was mostly malt. Taking beer styles back to the beginning of the current craft beer cycle 10 years ago. A bit of colour to the body. Drinkable. Average mouthfeel with a tad aggressive carbonation.

Clear amber color with a sticky fluffy off white head. Light floral nose with some grapefruit notes. Nice grapefruit and apricot hop flavors with a strong enough malt backbone. Long citrus hop finish. This is a decent pale ale.
