Quack-Duck (9534) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 8, 2017
bottle from Ladenburg. Deep red-brown, tall beige head. Full-bodied malty flavours with biscuit, caramel, chocolate and a shy, but warming touch of alcohol. Well balanced and smooth.

dark brownish red with a no head, but stayed effervescent long after the pour. malty aroma. good doppelbock, with a bit of bubble gum, raisins and light chocolate. a little alcohol burn.

PintjeFritz (410) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2016
Nice bottle but no information about the malts, hops and drinktemperature.
A dark red brown clear beer with a beige head, caramel and chocolate, malts dominated, light yeast, alcohol, I think the water which is here used is very good, medium body - for full body isn’t enough, average carbonation, thin texture, good finish - not too long and not too short,
(I have 0.5l bottle with batch 6950 and best-before 17/03/17)

hauxe (960) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - MAY 16, 2016
Pours dark brown from the bottle and leaves a thin bubbly head that soon disappears. Aroma is fine caramel malt mixed with rubbing alcohol from the medicine cabinet. Hmmm. Flavor is lightly sweet, malty, but thin and uneventful; not much here to hold the interest. The bitter twist at the end is swept away by a discordant alcohol finish. Unbalanced. There are lots of good German Doppelbocks, but this is not one of them.

oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2016
Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a dark hazy brown color. Aromas of bread, malt, and some fruit. Flavor has a touch of sweet malt and clove, I think. Overall, not to bad.

Dark brown colour, small tan head. Aroma is sweet, hints of nuts and malts. Light sweet taste, malty and alcoholic sensation at the end. Low carbonation, medium body. Very good doppelbock.

WillemsUrenkel (2042) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAR 27, 2016
0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot. Dark brown in the glass, small light beige head. Malt an ripe fruity on the nose. Taste starts dark malty, ripe fruits, but also alcoholic sharpness in the background. Little bit bitterness. Roasted malt and alcohol in the afteraste. Expected more.

blutt59 (6585) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2016
