This is a beautiful bock. Those who are giving it a poor rating are probably not familiar with what a bock should be. There are wonderful toasted malt flavors with multiple depths, just the right amount of sweetness to balance the subtle bitter hops. When we take the price into consideration, this is about as good as a bock can get. joergen (29598) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2005
Amber coloured with a huge off white head.
Acidic aroma of wine and fruits with notes of bread.
Nice sweet flavour of malts and bread with acidic notes of wine.
Warming alcoholic finish. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2002
Don't expect to be drinking a bock because you'll be disappointed. If you judge it on it's own and not to its style it's quite a nice beer. Port and prune aroma. Amber/orange color, off-white head, good lace. Full, hoppy, orange flavor, bitter, alcohol, sweet. Long lasting little burning finish. Oakrock (130) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 29, 2013
Very nice beer for a little bit more demanding taste. A bit alcoholic taste, light body and thin texture. Best with strong cheeses with high in proteins. This is a special beer which needs special athmosphere to have it. This is a beer that tastes itself, not bananas. Nice hops with nice taste of herbs, sage... Not everyday and not everybody. Somehow this beer feels more like a vine, not beer. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2013
It’s red amber with a creamy, fairly small head. The aroma has notes of fruit, nuts, caramel and burnt sugar. The sweet flavor has notes of burnt sugar, fruit, caramel, nuts and and cookies. A really interesting and lovely bock!

Dark copper colour, frothy off-white head, a very nice presentation. My first stab at a Heller Bock, this one might not be representative for the style though? I thought this was a great beer, aroma was fruity and hoppy and some malts. Great bitterness in the taste coupled with a bit a sweetness, very good!
