UPDATED: SEP 2, 2006 500ml bottle. Im not usually a fan of wheat beers, but I think this is because I had a few bad ones and avoided them since. This beer has changed my mind completely. After opening the bottle Im hit with the strong aroma of bananas, bubblegum, and over-ripe apples. It pours a deep reddish brown with a very thick-off white head, and the aroma just gets stronger. The flavor itself didnt have as much of the banana that the aroma seemed to be promising, instead sharing the flavor with more bubblegum, ripe fruits, cloves, and a hint of anise. The finish was smooth and oily, but not so thick that it wasnt easy to drink. The rater below me hit the nail on the head... the flavor - especially the aftertaste - was extremely reminiscent of Trois Pistoles. One of my new favorite beers. Just awesome.

Yum. Nice mammoth head. Very carbonated beer. Nice reddish rust-like color. Taste is awesome. Very belgian like. Reminds me of Trois Pistoles in flavor. Yeast, banana, spice. Some alcohol burn. Very very good stuff.

Thick off white head dominates along with a clear dark reddish brown appearance. Soft yeasty aroma of rising bread dough. Yeast, tart citrus, banana, and a sweet/sour maple taste along with some alcohol in the throat. Smooth and nice like a weizen should be, yet with interesting flavors and a kick.

500ml bottle, 8.2% a/v Pours a cloudy ruby colour with a head which just keeps on coming. Be careful, leave alot of room for the head to expand!! The smell is very complex with notes of cherries, malt, berries and booze. The flavour is somewhat like bananas berries and spice all mixed together, and is very complex and interesting. The palate is much the same as the flavour with a beautiful lingering aftertaste. Doesnt really taste boozy at all which surprised me!

I took this beer out of my beer cellar, "beer closet" and chilled this one for a few hours. I popped the cap and immediatley smelled the fruity smell. With that I poured and was greated with more fruity smell and a large whitish brown head. It quickly subsided and I let it sit for a few minutes. My first taste was sweet with a long lasting annoying sweet taste. I will end this review with the fact that I couldnt drink this one down in the hour I devoted to it. Just way too sweet for me

Bottle, Strong wheat-doppelbock. Tastes like a dunkelweizen but much stronger alcohol on the aftertaste at 8.2%. Full of sweet notes, good clove bananna aroma and thick solid palate. Good overall but I prefer the dunkelweizens.

Pours with a solid high slightly off color head. Begins with a sweet fruity taste that quickly moves to a wheat crispness, and then back to a fruity aftertaste, high on banana. A long finish on this makes it taste like a very heavy, very long hefeweizen.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2008 Pours brown/dark amber mix depending on light with a huge off white head. Aroma almost like a belgian strong but with the German banana. Taste of a lot of banana with a musky caremel flavor that is really cool. Wheat and alchohol also come through. Great mouthfeel. Yah GRIM!!! You picked a good one this time you big stud you!!!
