Pours like a soda with a thick, off-white head that gives away its wheatiness; fair amount of lacing. Aromas of fruity yeast, spice with a hint of hop herbacousness. Big flavors of wheat malt with pleasant yeast and a slight sour twang. Full bodied, very well balanced. Long wheaty finish with a bit of alcohol warmth; hard not to drink in gulps. I have had this beer on a number of occasions and can say that it is one of the best beers I drink. Truly excellent. AR (1002) - Georgia, USA - DEC 15, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2006 A misty, dark brown appearance with a hearty mouthfeel. Geat tasting with a prunish/clove flavor. Very palatable. StompBrockmore (316) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2006
500ml bottle - pours a deep brown shade, with a big, rocky white head. Small red highlights at the edges of the glass. Plums, banana, clove and yeast in the nose, along with some sharp spiciness. Mouthfeel is truly wonderful and velvety, while still being heavily carbonated. Very soft. Perfect really. Flavours take what is offered by the aroma, but add in a slighty bitter and sour character that cuts through the wheat at the finish. Alcohol is well hidden, but not invisible. Actually a very simple beer really. Uncomplex, though extremely satisfying and delicious. Highly recommended. TampaBeer (257) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 14, 2006
Not sure what the big deal is here. Pours a nice syrupy brown, with aromas reminiscent of a belgian. Flavor is pleasant, though the aftertaste is not very agreeable. tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 11, 2006
gream amount of head, lotsa caremel malt character, lotsa carbonation, some bitterness, bubble gum and banana, and a little bit of wheat on the finish

An interesting, murky-brown beverage with a slight infusion of red around the edges. Spicy, wheat-beer-styled aroma with an additional hint of cocoa powder in there somewhere. It packs quite a fizz - so much that the fizz actually obfuscates some of the anticipated flavours. What is easily detectable is a nutmeg spiciness and a chocolate malt finish. Interesting and unusual. Louipa (121) - USA - DEC 7, 2006
Pours a very pretty auburn color, dark ruby. Nose is of banana-clove and alcohol. Flavor is a VERY creamy smooth velvet blanket. Sorta like a doppelbock made with wheat. But I don’t like wheat. So it leaves a weird after taste for me. I’m not really into it but I could see how if you like wheat beers you would love this. Great palate. tcfishler (65) - USA - DEC 5, 2006
Color is a dark garnet-tinged amber-brown. Huge light tan head that sticks around impressively well.
Potent, estery, spicy aromas with lots of fruit and a bit of smoke too.
Begins innocently enough, then overtakes the palate and especially the nasopharynx with a sledgehammer of cocoa-accented clove flavor. Hint of alcohol is also apparent. Significant carbonation combined with fairly full body make for a chewy mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth, making this beer tremendously drinkable despite its undeniable power.
I love the intensity of character here without a terrible amount of sweetness. It really makes this beer satisfying and drinkable. The only minor disappointment is that it doesn’t have much in the way of complexity, although that shouldn’t be surprising given the simplicity of the ingredients. spector (906) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - DEC 3, 2006
Get alot of malt and bananas in the aroma.Pours a muddy brown with a big off white head.Sweet flavors with a good amount of light fruits.Medium mouthfeel with a fruity and alcohol finish. Ramenen (466) - San Salvador, EL SALVADOR - DEC 1, 2006
Very different from any beer that I have tasted before. It has a very distinctive clove flavor. Really enjoyed it with Gruyere cheese.
