2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer.
Aroma: lightly yeasty-soapy aroma.
Appearance: large, rocky, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and mostly lasting longevity. Hazy, dark-amber to light-brown body.
Taste: moderately sweet, caramel malty initial flavor and heavily to harshly sweet finish with long duration.
Palate: medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation and alcholic finsih feel.
Overall: Yuk. Aroma didn’t pique my interest, but appearance was great and made up for the aroma. Then it was time to taste . . . and yuk. This stuff was too sweet for me. I wouldn’t drink it again.
From Nov 2005
Poured from the bottle with a huge head that settled down after a few minutes...gorgeous deep brown colour.
For me, the smell was fruit and cloves...nice.
The taste is very complex. Chocolate, fruit and a strong clove flavour all operating in wonderful harmony...I don't even notice that it's sitting at 8%abv and that's a testament to how well made this is.
I highly recommend this delicious wheat dobblebock! AssKicker (628) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - OCT 12, 2017
Couleur brune relativement opaque.
Bottle (500ml). Dark Reddish brown with big tan head. Roasted malts have a little chocolate flavor. Medium plus carbonation. A little sweetness. Very refreshing tapefuzz (753) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 7, 2017
500mL bottle. Pours mahogany brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma is wheat, banana, spice, light roast, toffee, caramel, slight clove, and some subtle fruit. Taste is spice, chocolate, banana, wheat, some plum, licorice, some toffee, and some roast. Full body. Moderate carbonation. Creamy, wheat-y mouthfeel. motorhate (22) - Kent / London, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2017
Aroma is banana, with overtones of raisin and roasted nuts with a very slight chocolatey note.
Pours a dark brown colour with an absolutely huge creamy head and these aromas come pouring out.
Flavour is really good, all of the above with an underlying banana and clove, although the overall palate is slightly light on aftertaste which is a shame as the flavours are really nice.
Another winner from Schneider Weisse although I had to get this one from Germany as it's not easily obtainable from the UK.

Great wheat beer. Love it when I find this on tap. Wish it was more widely distributed. Daboch (97) - Gdansk, POLAND - OCT 1, 2017
Piwo koloru ciemnoczerwonego, lekko mętne. Aromat bogaty, lekko winny, rodzynki, winogrona, śliwki, trochę karmelu. W smaku podobnie można dodać goździki i trochę banana, może chleba. Kultowy weizenbock civilhorker (16) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 30, 2017
SCHNEIDER TAP 6 (drank from pilsner glass, 500ml bottle) //
Smell: Malty, fruity, bananas //
Mouthfeel: A bit too watery for my taste, with moderate carbonation //
Head: Fairly small head, off-white //
Taste: In my limited experience I'd say it has the malty taste of kwak + the bananas aroma of a hefeweizen, but the alcohol is very pronounced; yeasty and quite sweet //
Look: Looks like a muddy, brown swamp (makes it interesting!). Doesn't look as it tastes // Benters (47) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2017
Pours a slightly cloudy mahogany colour with thick creamy head which drops away fairly quickly. Aromas of bananas, cloves, roasted fruits and alcohol. Taste is rich, sweet, fruity and complex with slightly warming alcohol notes and finishes with slight acidity. A really refreshing, brilliant tasting beer.
Paired really well with Teriyaki beef. Rich, sweet fruitiness of the beer complemented the honey sweetness in the glaze. Refreshing carbonation helps cleanse the palate between mouthfuls. Roasted/caramelised flavours in the beer meld with the charred beef. Beer is fruity and refreshing, of good strength but did not overpower the food in any way.
