Schneider Weisse Kristall was created by Georg V. Schneider in the 1980’s. This elegant and sparkling wheat beer is not only a great refreshment but can also serve as the perfect alternative to sparkling wine and prosecco when served with a shot of elderberry syrup. Bottle conditioned.

Ingredients: water, wheat malt (50%), barley malt (50%), hops (Magnum, Cascade, Hallertauer Saphir), yeast.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance had the normal cloudy orange to slight brown color. There’s a slight transparency trying to come in as I do see some light bubbles around the edges rising at a good pace. The head was thick and soft full of at least a good three finger white foaminess that gently died at a nice pace. The smell was slightly bready/yeasty. Slight clove to coriander spice that entered in with the normal "banana" light esters to enter and fulfill it’s commission of the kristallweizens of kristallweizens. The taste was mainly sweet and carried a fairly nice spice to conjure up a fulfilling Summer’s night. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Hot damn, this was really good. The carbonation was there but nowhere to be seen to be overbearing. Oh, how smooth she runs over my mouth. Overall, where in the heck, did this come from? Holy moses, I’d have this again in a heartbeat.

first beer of the morning while having a early lunch of wurst and pretzels at the brewery refreshing and like a pils in some respects

For a kristal, this brew is quite good. Crisp and light on the tongue, bracing yet never intrusive. The fruit and cloves rescue it from being boring, while not demanding too much from the drinker. A good pub brew.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Another winner from Schneider - great full-flavoured kristall, all good weiss-y things present in aroma & flavours.

From Decervecitas. In Bavaria hefe glass. Playing GooCubelets The Void. Very fresh, refreshing and with a nice, tickling body. Doesnt feel watery in spite of being kristall and hasnt nearly any flavors. Crushable

Wysycenie niskie. Bardzo dobry Kristallweizen, wręcz przepyszny.

500 ML bottle in Germany. A nice clear pour and fine lacing of the head with its golden clear color. Aroma is strong banana pudding. Taste is creamy and very smooth for a Kristall. Palate is also very pleasant for a Kristall. One of the top Kristall’s in my book.

0.5 bottle from Alko. I thought this is the typical Kristallweizen with no taste of hefeweizen left. Well, I was wrong, there is even the taste of banana and everything. It is not cloudy but the taste is still there. Some of the Hefeweizens are more watery than this. I am impressed.
