COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Fad. Superlkker hvede. Mrk uklar med et udemrket hoved. Klassiske noter af banan og klver i munden, med et fint bid. Superlkker.

Dark golden / amber pour, some bubbles and a medium white head. Odd color for a hefe. Sweet banana wheat aroma. Flavor is very mellow, light. Like a bananas foster... ok but since the flavors are so mellow eventually all you have is a sugary taste overwhelming everything else. Alcohol finish...

A nice twist on the traditional German style Hefeweizen. Its slightly darkened to a medium brown color, with very nice attributes; good head formation, retention, and lacing. The aromas of banana, clove, and wheat is good. The taste also carries a nice little note of burnt toast on the finish. Would be much, much better if it were slightly thicker, viscous, and more full bodied.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2008 This is a fairly dark, full-bodied hefewiezen that I reall like for its richer interpretation of the style, making it closer to the darker ales that I prefer. It is a dark, cloudy amber with a thick, long-lasting off-white head with some lacing. The aroma is fruity. The flavour is sweetish yet crisp, with a distinct taste of wheat bread, some fruitiness, and a finish that is very bready mixed with spices. It is smooth and tasty, with a pleasant tingly, yet full, feel.

Bottle. Very high and long lasting off-white creamy head. Hazy amber body with a good deal of yeast sediments. Distinct banana aroma. Sweet and relatively thin flavor with low carbonation and long aftertaste-.

Pours a semi-cloudy brown with an abundant pale head. This is a little darker than typical hefe weizens. The aroma is very citrusy. Oranges, bananas, and cloves seem to be pretty dominating with bread notes hiding behind. The flavour, when colder, seems to be more bread-like. As it warms, the oranges and lemon become more dominant. Bananas and cloves burst in the finish. This is pretty good.

Bottle: pour starts nice with big bubbles and a stark white big head. Bannana, clove and bubble gum flavors and smells. Just a tad dark for a Hef but a nice beer all around.

16 oz in a .5 L weizen glass. Darker than the other hefes Ive been drinking. Nice and cloudy, big frothy white head that settles down to a thin line. A lot more carbonated than, say, a Paulaner. Fizzy. Nice. Not so sweet and banana (in my estimation) more malty than fruity. A rich, tasty beer. I prefer the more banana and sweet smelling hefes like a Fransizkaner, but this one is nice, and Ill buy (and drink) more.

Pours orangey amber, with a great steamed milk head. Attractive effervescence. Aroma is strongly of bananas with a little yeast and nutmeg. Flavour is also strong on bananas and yeast. Well balanced spices and clove round out the flavour.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 8, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2009 One of the better-looking hefeweizens, the head is exceptional. Muddy-colored, opaque from ample yeast sediments. Fruity and spicy aroma, imparted by the creamy head. Initial taste is heavy on the citrus: with orange, lemon and also fennel detectable. Nice beer: dont serve it too cold!

Draft at Weissbrauhaus, munich. Dark hazy orange-brown with white head. Is really good. Smooth carbonation. The tap version of this is great! The banana is more apparent than in the helles weizen. The body is big with a great palate. World class gold standard. 4-6-5-8-16
