COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Bottle into wiezen glass. Pours a murky brownish/ orange with a full sized well carbonated head that lingers for a short while. Aroma is orange, coriander, bubble gum, and some well rounded wheat textures. Actually smells really refreshing on this hot summer day. Taste falls short. You get the cloves, carbonation, orange in the first couple seconds of the sip, but it all falls flat and all you feel in the aftertaste is a slight twinge of orange and light bubble on the back of your tongue. Overall, Looks and smells great, Taste is clean crisp but very short lived, Palate lightly carbonated. Its an Ok Dunkelweizen nothing to get really amped up about.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a large long lasting dense off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of yeast, wheat, clove, apple, and light nutmeg. Taste is wheat, yeast, clove, apple, and light nutmeg with a slightly sour finish. Medium creamy mouthfeel that finishes slightly spicy. The commercial description is dead on. Very good.

Deep cloudy orange amberish colour. Nice milky white head. This yeast they use produces a beautiful banana flavor and aroma. Creamy beautiful beer.

Hard to believe I havent rated this before since it was my go-to beer for summer in Vancouver. 500 ml bottle. Deep orange-amber beer topped by a thick fluffy lasting white head. Sweet banana/peach aroma with a soft toasted maltiness in the back. Lots of wheaty character throughout with loads of banana and spice. Creamy palate with a great balance of toasted wheat and fruity yeast character. Full-bodied yet thirst-quenchingly tart on the back. A classic.

Dark color for a weisee. Ample foam covering the deep tawny body. Moderately aromatic with the usual Weisse descriptors. Flavor is fairly good, could be richer and more complex. Its no Weihenstephaner, but its a fine, high quality brew.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2008 Pours an amberish colour with a huge beige head. The aroma is yeasty, and a tiny bit of malts. The flavour is a very yeasty, quite tasty, with minor hints of some spices, and nutmeg/cinnamon. This is the only darker coloured Hefe Ive ever had, so its a tad different to me, but it still seems good. Not as much banana and clove as I would like, but still enjoyable.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2007 Looks pretty much as muddy horrible as dunkelweizens often do, yet somehow appealing. Esters, but theres also very nice crispy bitterness. Not as fruity as I remembed and what the nose gives away. Goodie.
