A modern bayerisch classic, dry-hopped weizen bock. Better fresh, a perfect match of malt sweetness and some bitterness of american hops.

Very boozy. Mix of sweet and bitter hoppiness. Very different type of beer. Has the heavy boozy body of an ipa but the sweetness of a heffeweissen.

Murky light orange, strong head.

Aroma: grapefruit and sweet bananas, some grassy and peppery notes.
Sweet with balanced bitterness.

A perfect combination of sweet aromatic weizenbock with spicy, grassy and citrusy hops.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 Bottle. Aromas of yeast, wheat malt and a bit of pineapple. Full body and lively carbonation. Sharp, crisp and juicy mouthfeel. Well balanced taste of wheat malt sweetness and hoppy bitterness with a hint of pineapple. In the after you feel the bitter-sweet balance and a slight warmth in the back of your throat from the high abv. Slightly acidic in the late after. Not a big fan of wheat beers but this one is amazing. German bulletproof quality with American hoppy twist.

This pours from 500ml bottle a murky orange with a huge head of foam that settles down after some time to a fine layer and it has some lacing. My last pour and it really got dark and murky. It kind of reminds me of some homebrews that I've had(and made) before.

The smell is fruity with some wheat and a nice hoppy nose in the background.

The taste has a good malty and wheaty flavour to it that borders on sweet but that doesn't happen because of a grassy and somewhat citrusy hop bitterness. I'm tasting fruit here as well...orange zest is what I'm sensing the most. Also noticing some clove but it's on the mild side. Pretty flavourful beer and quite different from the Weizenbocks I've had in the past. Duh. It *is* called Hopfen Weisse and for a good reason. Plenty of hop character to be found here. Good effort by all involved in making this one.

Edit: Towards the end of the session, it got really spicy...lots of pepper in the flavour. Good stuff!

Hazy golden color with a medium white head and noticeable yeast sediment. Medium to full body, average carbonation, no lacing. Spicy floral/herbal aroma of banana, cloves, honey, pine, caramel, resins, grass, wheat and herbs. Sweet and creamy taste with similar aromas as in smell, accompanied with aromas of ripe fruits (pineapple, apricot, mango, peach,...), biscuits, punch, vanilla, hops and spices. Floral/herbal aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden. That is one delicious weizen bock, I must say.

Tap at Akurrat. A good beer if you like those aged hops, I'm sure its delicious. As with most bocks, I found it just a little too much and here too hoppy for a weizen. nice though still.
