Bottle LCBO, Uptown Waterloo. Lovely dark yellow hazy pour, foamy small white head. Aroma of very sharp fruity and zest hops, with lots of yeast in three as well. Taste - tons of sharp fruity hops up front, great lively wheat body to back it up, substantial but not intrusive alcohol to complement. A quenching hoppy wheat that packs a punch, tremendous. But this if you see it, cannot believe we can get it right now at our local LCBO’s. Gary (2094) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2010
(bought at beers of europe) Strange concept. A beer cocktail between a wheat beer and a hop bomb , not something ive ever desired. Aroma is strange all the customary wheat beer characters...banana. spices. baubblegum ..then grapefruity hops come along and are a bizarre mix to things mentiond. It drinks down exactly like so. WheAT beer and an IPA having a boxing match . Interesting drink . But oddball. Spab (4235) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2010
500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a very cloudy brownish gold with moderate-sized soapy white head. Aroma is huge on banana, citrus and peaches with some subtle spices and yeast. Flavour of bubblegum, banana, citrus and clove. Lingering dry finish. Active carbonation. Very nice. markas101 (2534) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 16, 2010
50 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON, Canada, via Jim. Apricot coloured, floral and smooth with a sweet breadiness. imaragingbull (579) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 15, 2010
Pours cloudy orange-yellow with moderate head, eventually vanishing unless roused; not at all weizen-like. Grassy hop aromas come through mixed with banana and cloves and perhaps some coriander.. Somewhat bitter upon first taste, however mellows out upon subsequent tastings, nice medium mouthfeel with phenolic flavours predominant throughout. Lingering bitterness in addition to the phenols on the finish. Nice beer, but in my opinion; out of balance. It is a new experience to have grassy hops and weizen yeast characteristics, so definitely worth a go. Tough to classify this one, more hop flavours shining through for a weizen bock. Very Interesting. Love it!

Bottle from LCBO. Quite a nice beer. Very unusual with the intense hops and the wheat. Great hop aroma with citrus and wild herbs. Wheat in the flavor with some banana and lots of cloves as well as hops. A cloudy gold colored beer with lots of yeast and sediment. pootzboy (1824) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle: Puts a really turbid gold ale in the flute with stiff tight pored cap, great retention massive lacing. Lively carbonation. Wonderful pungent nose: bananas, grapefruit, spice, some mustiness, bubblegum and a touch of fusel. Substantial body for a hefeweiss, rounded mellow character , Silken mouth feel, ... smooth as a fruit pudding with NO sharp edges at all! Big fruits and citrus up front are balanced with spicy tones and citrusy hop bittering, middle is pudding soft and mellow with substantial body with leafy NW hops and malt sweetness joining the liquid fruit cocktail. Light drying in the finish punctuated with bitter citrus.....light ’hop burn’ in the after taste. Frikkin’ awesome wheat! barncatmatt (2355) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2010
500 ml bottle from the LCBO. pours murky beige with a small white head. aroma of tropical fruit, hefe forward yeast, dandilion fluff. the flavour is complex, i get bubble gum, tropical fruit, lingering wheaty hefeness(?), balanced but slightly bitter finish. hoppier then any other beer ive had that was made with a hefe strain. leaner mouthfeel then i was expecting. i like it but dont love it. mrhoppy (1196) - Santa Clara, California, USA - JUN 12, 2010
This beer will spawn lovers and haters alike. I for one am a lover because when it comes to beer styles I am one who likes it when beers push the boundaries and break the rules and I applaud the brewers who ask the question what if we did this? This is a Hop Heads Hefe! Now for the beer. So big floral and full. Meal in a glass kind of thing. Sometimes Hefe has those flavors that are astringent and cut through you. Not this one. All those wonderful weissen flavors and characteristics and big hops to go with it. Absolutely one of my favorite beers. The alcohol is spot on. barely noticable and puts you where you want to be. Not for the faint at heart. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2010
Deep orangish yellow pour with thin white head. Aroma of fruity esters: peach, clove, banana, some pineapple. A hint of clove and citrus, a bit yeasty. Flavor is so smooth and delicious. Fruity, with flavorful hop bitterness. Mildly sweet, lots of peach and pear, Lightly doughy malts, nice wheat presence. Full mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, long finish. Really good beer, I think this is better than the Brooklyn version.
