2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Not my favorite and Way too expensive.
Expensive ass little 330ml bottle. Poured a deep amber with an off white head. Dark fruits, vanilla, caramel, some wood, and berries. Just wish it wasn't as expensive as it was ... Idiosynkrasie (7974) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
330ml bottle [#0529, 2014 vintage]. Murky, dark brown colour, a fading, thin layer of beige bubbles on top, lots of tiny chunks floating around. Spicy, vinous aroma, notes of red wine, blue grapes, blackcurrant, morello, a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is slightly dry, oaky, tart-ish, vinous, spicy, notes of red wine, blue grapes, blue grape juice, hints of morello, blueberry and blackcurrant, a touch of banana has just object slide funtion, minimally alcoholic finish; oily to viscous texture. The Pinot Noir "form" reduces the basic beer to pure "matter"; nice "substance" overall. Werckmeister (3331) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - AUG 10, 2017

Bottle from Bine & Vine as their 2017. Pours clear brown with a few bubbles. Aroma of mildly sour raspberry and cherry. Med + body. Flavor is mildly acidic with, yes, chocolate, raspberry and cherry. Not sure about vanilla. There’s a woody aspect, but that’s not strong. Heat, yes, but for me only in the gullet. Pretty good. marcus (10680) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 10, 2017
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a few beige bubbles and a treacle and wine aroma. There is a complex flavor that includes chocolate, raspberry, and wine. Comforting warm alcohol trail.

Aroma is oak, dates, hint of nail polish remover initially, raisins, cherries, vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet, rasins, dates and cherries dominate. Full body, low carbonation. Thick. Full body and light carbonation. nearbeer (5606) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 2, 2017
33 cl. bottle. Pours deep brown with maybe a ruby tint. Smattering of loose foam on top. Big nose of red wine and creamed brown sugar is tempered by wafts of soy, vinegar and a bit of the barrel. Flavors of blackberry, toasted wood and mildly sweet red wine with a bit of white pepper. The wine note also has a hint of vinegar at times. Medium-plus body is meaty and smooth with low carbonation. The combination provides a dangerously drinkable mouthfeel and balance. Definitely seems the wine dominates this marriage, but it’s damn tasty and I’m never been much of a wine drinker.. 2014 version, matured for 24 months on Pinot Noir barrels.
First of all: this is one helluva underrated beer... But: if you don’t appreciate wine, don’t bother with this beer... Flat, lots of vanille, tanines, and a nice sour Pinot Noir touch, whilst the base beer is still there...
Best drank in the dark as the colour isn’t appealing at all...
