This was different for the style. Lemon and wheat aroma. Cloudy honey color with a big white head. The wheat was very prevalent up front with fruit flavors and some tartness following. There was a hint of hops bitterness but subtly. Good and unique but not at the top of my list for this brewery.

bartlebier (4118) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - OCT 18, 2017
2017 Ed from 375ml MHD2022, Maruhn. - Suavely integrated composition, integrating fresh green grape jelly into young banana wheat compote with enough phenolic side artifice to keep it interesting enough for a near sessionable Weizenbock. Not the most expressive aroma, condensing those Nelsons into something sweeter than fresh grapes, going on canned gooseberry. Nice dryness works well with the underlying current of spicy (nutmeg and white pepper) wheat tapioca porridge.

Calisky (3028) - ALSACE, FRANCE - OCT 17, 2017

maekchu (4024) - Hirakata, JAPAN - OCT 17, 2017
Bottle from Asahiya. Nose of bananas, citrus, some caramel, spicy yeast, and a bit of pepper. Hazy deep amber/orange color, with a thick compact white head. Very wheaty (duh!), light banana, , touch of citric acid, and a pinch of pepper. Medium body. Doesn't really provide much Nelson Sauvin character (maybe the wheat notes eat it up?). Great nose. A bit mild mannered for a weizen book, but very well made and tasty.

the aroma is fruity and malty with hints of citrus, dry wine, yeast, apple and some herbs... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of citrus, yeast, candy, apple and spicy grasses... sweet, bitter and dry aftertaste...

Bitek (772) - Warszawa, POLAND - OCT 9, 2017

750ml bottle at home. Dry start with some classic wheat beer cereals and a touch of orange. Then the hops come with pronounced white grapes well balanced with the malt bill. Dry finish cleaned up with some classic Hefe spice. A special use of Nelson Sauvin if you're a fan of the hops. Good stuff.

Manslow (1814) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 6, 2017
Butelka 375ml pite w domu. Kolor złoty zamglony wpadający w orange, piana niezbyt mocna ale osiada na szkle. Aromat to banany i drożdże, trochę owoców. W smaku słodkawe, owocowe także banany. Aksamitne wykończenie z niewielką goryczką, bardzo dobre piwo.

4.3
josanguapo (1862) - SPAIN - OCT 2, 2017
From Cervezasespeciales. In Bavaria hefe glass. Playing Bad End. The usual notes of a hefe combine well with the fresh hoppy notes of the nelson hops, providing grape reminiscences
