330 ml long neck bottle, bought at an organics food store. Curious to see what a gluten free beer tastes like, also made of organically grown ingredients. ABV 5%. Poured into a lager glass.
Colour is yellow golden, slighty hazy. On top of it, sits a whitem soapy foam, two fingers tall with good retention, leaving light lacing behind and a somewhat thick film on the beer’s surface. Lots of activity in the glass too. So far so good.
Aroma now.. is weird. Smells like some kind of medicine, but there are also traces of banana and bubblegum aroma on the background. Bottom line, not very pleasant.
Taste is quite similar to the smell, same medicinal flavour, like antiacterial soap or something. But if the taste was somewhat bearable, the taste is gross.
Very thin body and very light carbonation.
Conclusion, I am happy and thankfull to God that I don’t have a gluten allergy and I can enjoy all the normal beers. It is my first gluten free beer, I take the style into consideration and the people that is intended for and I am still very close to drain pour this one. solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 22, 2012
I had this right after brushing my teeth and initially thought that was the problem. However, as the beer went on the taste of toothpaste didn’t change at all. Very watery colour. erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - NOV 26, 2012
Very light golden, clear body with white stable soap head. Unexpected citrus aroma, grass hops, mild but quality pilsner malts. Taste is similar, but the lemony feels disturbs me a bit, like air refresher. Light drinkable body. Not sure what to make of this now... The ingredients list is ’interesting’ with added ascorbic acid (Vitamin V) and more... Finally, funny how nowhere on the bottle you can find the denominator ’beer’. Rather, it speaks of ’alcoholic beverage’. Do I even want to know? Probably not. (33cl bottle from Eko Plaza) Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 14, 2012
Clear piss yellow colour, no head and lots of carbonation. sweet corn and hay aroma and a hint of brewers yeast. light bodied brew, quick flavour but surprinsingly drinkable for its style. MaartenRF10 (1959) - Wageningen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2012
Slightly hazy light golden, small fading head. Sweet, sticky beer with some hay, malts. Not that bad.

Given to me by a colleague who has gluten allergies. Terrible! Very pungent sour aroma (7up?) and taste is tart and sour. Like a radler gone bad.... Spab (4081) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 13, 2012
330 ml bottle from NSLC. Pours a lightly hazy pale golden yellow with small white head. Aroma is strong lemon with a weird, rather off-putting floral sort of note. Flavour has that same odd sweet/perfumey floral/fruit character with some lemon also apparent. Body is a little lifeless. Not one I really cared for. ogivlado (8108) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 6, 2012
Bottled 330ml. -Cloudy yellow coloured, small white head, odd perfumed nose with hint of wheat. Again odd perfumed flowery spicy taste with notes of grain and something similar to plastic. Wierd and no thanks again. Bullit (4686) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Bottle from Masala. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, medium white head. Nose is very soapy and floral. Flavour is soapy, perfumy, sickly sweet, artificially flavoured. Slightly bitter and sweet finish. Really bad. Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2012
Small white head, disappears slow, on top of a hazy bright yellow colored beer.
Smell grains, corn, wheat, light citrus, light oatmeal ish/porridge, cream
Taste soap, corn, hint of citrus, porridge, touch of floral something, plastic ish, banana.
Aftertaste is grainy corn with soap hints.
Medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture.
