Bottled. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and hay, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for supplying this.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear amber golden with a dense off-white head leaving laces. Sweet caramellish nose but unfortunately also lots of butter. Medium body, low carbonation, sweet caramel and hardly any bitterness. Luckily the butter was in the aroma only. 210511 yespr (48958) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2011

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, beige small fluffy head. Aroma is wooden, spicy, sweet malty along with some nutty and grassy notes as well. Flavour is wooden, toffeeish, sweet malty as well as mildly resiny and nutty. Quite pleasant. Grima (2511) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 13, 2010
The beer in the glass is bright amber-colored with a flat,
medium crown. The Dunkel smells roasty malty,
softly caramel. The beer starts malty and very
bitter, almost sour. Tender roasty aromas added,
But the beer is malty and sour flavors of
dominated. The aftertaste is also shown
sour, spicy but becoming. The finish is slightly
mild, but the intensive malty body always remains
available. Getting used to, but strictly passable! MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2010
Draught at the brewpub as Schnupp Dunkel. Copper colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is mildly malty with low bitterness. Low, but pleasant carbonation. Not really roasted or caramelly, more like a darker Vollbier. The flavour has neither caramel, nuts nor roasted malts, whatever BelJohansen might say. KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2010
Clear golden with a medium off white head. Aroma had hints of toasted malt and caramel. Flavour had toasted malt, caramel and as MiP mentions nuts. shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2010
Bottle. Sweet caramel malt aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Medium brown color with moderate head and mild effervescence. Lightly sweet caramel malt and lightly bitter grassy hops flavor. Watery palate. Okay but on the light side - would like more malt flavor.
