COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schöfferhofer German Wheat Beer Hefeweizen is brewed in Bavarian tradition using wheat malt. The live yeast gives bottle "conditioning" guaranteeing a refreshing fruity flavor. The yeast sediment also leads to the "cloudy" nature of the beer. Care needs to be taken when pouring. Tilt glass and pour slowly. Before pouring last quarter, roll bottle gently back and forward until sediment is dissolved.

Ładna piana, barwa mętna słomkowa. Aromat dość słabo intensywny, lekko wyczuwalne nuty pszenicy. W smaku pszenica, banan i dość nieprzyjemna cierpkość. Wyczuwalne drożdże Dość wodniste.

500 ml. bottle in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a cloudy, golden orange. Aroma of wheat, banana, citrus. Taste of wheat, malt, yeast, banana. Very pleasant for the style.

Served on tap. Hazy golden colour. Thick fluffy long lasting foam. Clove dominant aroma. Tipical wheat malty flavour right balanced by the low bitterness. Full body and high carbonation mask the 5% Abv. An interesting beer.

Bit thin but very refreshing wheat beer. Notes of bannana little clove, on the sweet side for a wheat beer

Bottle. Dark yellow to orange, hazy with pretty big and solid white head and some lacing. Strong aromas of bananas with some malty and cloves notes. Medium body, pleasant creamy mouthfeel, right carbonated with little bit sourness in the finish. Very good and refreshing, also very stable - had many bottles during last years. No idea why it’s so underrated here.

0,5l bottle. Hazy yellow colour with long lasting stiff white head. Aroma: Strong banana with citrus and biscuit notes. Taste: Sweet malty start but quite short then a tarty/sour tone comes in with almost no bitter mouthfeel at all. Has a little bit watery feel and also a very gentle smokey tone. Medium body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting and evading sourish finish. Not the best weizen but good to drink and has some charm.

Very big head with good retention. Smells banana, sweet malt and slightly clove. Taste is balanced. Medium bodied, highly carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. One of the most underrated beers. Better than some famous weizens.

(500 ml bottle) pours a murky light-orange beer, with vigorous medium carbonation, and a rocky white head. Unfortunately, I feel this bottle may be compromised. InitialIy, a strong aroma of Bavarian yeast. After that, things go downhill fast. There’s a strong note of slightly-burnt popcorn, caramel, honeycomb, malt powder, bread dough, banana skins, clove, a twist of lemon, metallic odours, and a strong, lasting bitterness. Light-bodied and fizzy, with a hodgepodge of aromas, this beer is truly a mess. It’s just far too bitter for a proper German wheat beer. I’m sure it was once a great example of the style, before Oetker Group took over. Wouldn’t have this again - there’s better to be had. Hopefully I can put this down to a faulty seal round the bottle cap.

Hazy yellow color, medium to large white head. Aroma banana, wheat. Taste banana, lemon peel, spices. More spices in aftertaste. I prefer more sour citrus notes, but this is tipical very good hefeweizen.
