A German IPA? Indeed! And near perfect execution also. Beautiful creamy head sits atop an amber body. Hops is the first thing you smell, and definitely the first thing you taste. Unusual for a German brewer, but it’s excellent.

Ambrata con poca schiuma. Aroma luppolato, abbastanza aromatico.Note agrumate (in piccola parte) frutta tropicale e luppoli tedeschi. Al palato ingresso dolce, poi vira verso canoni più luppolati ma senza eccedere nell’amarezza estrema. Finale non proprio pulito con un retrogusto che non convince del tutto. L’alcol è nascosto in maniera mirabile. Un birrificio che fa del rapporto qualità/prezzo il suo cavallo di battaglia.

Bottle from Birratrovo, bb 19.12.16
Hazy amber color with medium sized head, short retention. Mild aroma, some cereals, maybe sweet, light honey and light hops. Lean body; cereals flavor with light residual sweetness; strong bitterness, very light fruity presence, mild resins and not much more hop qualities.
Unimpressive, maybe not fresh enough?

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2013 0,33 l bottle BB 13. May 14 from Getränke Liebick Lots of bitter hops aroma ==> spruce, citrus, herbs Plus exotic / citrus fruit aroma. Appearance: amber orange color, hazy, frothy, white foam light sweetness, very bitter, lightly sour, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, bitter and long finish Nice but IMHO there are already better german IPAs on the market.

culchiem (3971) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 6, 2013
Bottle. Light amber with a thin head. Aroma is a mix of fruit, pineapple, orange herbal hops. Flavours follows along the same lines, very fruity with a medium bitter finish.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 6, 2013
0.33 l bottle at Timo A’s. Copper to amber color. Dry, tart and citrusy hop aroma with lime. Crisp hoppy taste with tart lemon, lime and mango. Dry minerally hoppy finish. Firm bitterness but on a low side for an IPA. Medium body. Alcohol completely hidden. Good IPA.

Wolfbass (1166) - Firenze, ITALY - FEB 2, 2013
Una Ipa davvero diversa dal solito, dove anche una buona parte maltosa è molto evidente sia al naso, che anche in bocca. Aspetto splendido, e naso davvero invitante. Anche al palato mi convince, bene, molto bene.

bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JAN 24, 2013
Bottle. Pale amber color. Floral aroma with pineapple and citrus. Sharp alcoholic malty sweetish flavor with floral notes, grapefruit, lemon and pineapple. A firm hop character, Shortish grapefruit aftertaste.

rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 5, 2013
330 ml bottle. BB 13/05/14. From bierzwerg.de. Cloudy reddish amber colour with small white head. Nice sweet hoppy aroma with sugary and fruity notes. Flavour is also quite sweet fruity hoppy. Not much bitterness but rather tasty anyway. Very nice German IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Embrouille (2852) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 28, 2012
Bottled 33cl. Very true to the style. Cistrusy, resinous hops showing up in the nose. Slight cat’s piss sneaking in. Good bitterness. Delicious.
