GBBF Day 3. Bottle. Thanks to Ian. Bright clear paleish gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry. Good minerally carbonation. Light clean pale malts, sweetish and slightly nutty. Nice floralness. Some estery sweetness. Light finish brings mildly spicy citric hops. Tasty.

(Draught at Foersters Feine Biere, Berlin, 25 Aug 2016) Pale golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with bread, grass, hints of citrus, honey and fresh herbal hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass, vanilla, tropical fruit and a balanced grassy, herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Well balanced, tasty and harmonious. Quiet nice.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2016 Draught. Pours like classic German lager - clear, golden, fluffy head. The beer is quite full bodied, not that crisp. Herbal hops present, solid malty with bit of corn backbone. OK, good to drink and forget, but on the sweet sweeter side.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma - the aroma is slightly muted. Not as much of the malt comes through as the grassy hop.
Appearance - body is pale gold, with great nucleation. The sets up beautifully at well over 3", and holds up very long. Some dappled lacing
Taste - has a little fruit esters, some toast, a bit of grass.
Palate - light side of medium body, carbonation is average, the finish abrupt and with just a bit of grassy hops.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Robinwood Liquor: Poured a glowing yellow colored liquid that was topped with a fluffy foam head. The beer looked similar to how witbier looks ( white beer). Aroma is mild with a whiff of corn or rice like cereals and didn’t much smell like beer. The flavor follows my noses lead and brings about the taste of grained corn and plain rice cake flavors but does have a well balanced malt to hop profile that makes this an easily quaffable fest beer.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle best by 11/4/16. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a low medium fizzy white head. The aroma is very herbal, a bit skunky and spicy. Nice noble hop bouquet. Crackery, bready pils malt in the background. The flavor is potently hoppy with more herbal, spicy noble hops. Light sulfur which comes through stronger in a medium spicy bitter finish. Very firm and dry bitterness. Light bread crust mixed in with background sweet bready malt. The hop flavor and pleasing bitterness win me over on this one. Probably one of my favorite imported pilsners.
