COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 3-Grid IPA is our flagship ale. This India Pale Ale’s citrus notes are created by Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Amarillo hops from Yakima Valley, making it a true Northwest-style crowd pleaser. The alchemists at Schooner EXACT balance the hoppiness with a hint of malt, making this IPA one that pleases the staunchest of hopheads as well as the microbrew newbie.

12 oz can shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, resin, and earthy hops, grass, toasted malts, perhaps a hint of age, drinkable ipa.

12oz can, thanks to Paul & Jamie. Shared. 8/26/15 on the bottom of the can. Hazy orange color. Thin white bubbly head, some bits of lace. Nice grapefruit, pine, citrus up front. Mild toasty malt. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, but more dry finish. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Mild slick. Kind of toasty. Satisfying though. Better than you’d expect for the date on the bottom. Drinkable enough.

Brassy color with a decent head on top. Leafy hop nose rife with nice floral character and some co-humulone muskyness, with perhaps a hint of Amarillo. The body is flush hop juicyness. Again, the flavor is of fresh hop leafyness with a definite floral quality accompanied by a musky co-humulone essence. Quite sessioanable with just the right balance of hop bitterness and sweetness.

This is a great IPA that is incredibly balance. Tons of citrus and tropical hop notes with a slight pine finish. Not too sweet which is nice.

Bomber. Pours a hazy copper orange with an off white head and aroma of hops and malt. Taste is of hops, citrus, along with caramel and malty notes into the dry finish.

With Z, a bomber, poursarusty orange color with a large beige head. Nose is heavier malt than hops. Taste is light citrus but not overwhelmingly hoppy as in the deScription, a bit malty and very drinkable. Finishes on the light citrus and hoppy notes. Drinkable Average IPA. Quaff Score 6 / 10
