COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 3-Grid IPA is our flagship ale. This India Pale Ale’s citrus notes are created by Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Amarillo hops from Yakima Valley, making it a true Northwest-style crowd pleaser. The alchemists at Schooner EXACT balance the hoppiness with a hint of malt, making this IPA one that pleases the staunchest of hopheads as well as the microbrew newbie.

Great color. 1st sip required a palate adjustment and then the rest was just right. Refreshing not overboard on the hop bitterness ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Von’s Seattle. First IPA I’ve drunk since arriving in the USA and I’m not disappointed.

Bomber pours an almost clear gold with a two finger puffy off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is a sweet citrus floral. Taste is a tangy sweet citrus with a mild malt profile. Flavor is excellent. Bitterness is mild, aftertaste lingers.

Orange. Citrus and light pine with some caramel backbone. Some real light toasted malts. A good bitterness throughout. A very nice and quite drinkable IPA.

Rating #1991 - 2015.09.26 - #CraftTakesSeattle Day 3, Beer 93 - Bottleshare Pours a golden amber, moderate white cap. Aroma is caramel malt, orange zest. Medium carbonation, medium bodied. Assertive bitterness up front. Nice.

Pine resin, earth and citrus with a little more malt than I like in the nose and flavor. Crisp and moderately bitter. Not bad.

Purs nicely golden, maybe a few notes of amber hue inside. White foam, does not really stay long. Aroma is dominated by tropical and fruity hops, sweetish honey feel to it - in the best way. Taste is feeling actually very light, body is there and maybe even multiply sweet - but hops are fresh and abundant, so they are in a great balance with the body and make this super highly drinkable. Great stuff, I do like it a lot, sort of well brewed American IPA that I really need once in a while.
