3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Weil after several years of holding on to this for a good reason and because the beer junction is my place of discovery of new beers and is also celebrating their 6th anniversary in a few weeks. So the beer has turned more of a barleywine now. However a good one at that. Nice hoppy accents. Deep copper with undertones of licorice and honey. Considering This is a three year old double ipa it’s not bad as a barleywine.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big time citrus and fruity hops on the nose. Some pale malt base toast also. Perhaps a little sweaty. Golden orange pour great head. Super fruity tropical and citrusy up front danky pale malts with hints of toast and light sweaty hops in the finish. Dangerously drinkable. Lingering fruity resinous hops. Nice.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ The Beer Junction. Transparent golden-orange pour with a medium white head. Aroma is floral and fresh citrus and pine. Taste is clean and refreshing citrus, with a semi-bitter finish. Really going to miss this beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ where else, The Beer Junction. Pours bright yellow orange with thin head. Aroma is a bit of sweet malt and substantial fresh, earthy, and floral hops. Taste is clean crisp light caramel malt with big bitter finish. Nice citrus and earthy flavors from the hops. Seems just a bit thin for the abv, but not badly so. Better hops than what I’ve seen in previous versions of Schooner’s DIPAs. Also really glad to see TBJ get their own beer... I remember browsing the original store all by myself with Morgan. They’ve come a long way in 3 years!

Pours transparent golden-orange with a thick, light-beige head. Aroma is beautifully hoppy, with heavy emphasis on fruity citrus and pine. Flavor of light malt upfront, quickly giving way to dominant hops: bright pine and citrus. Bitter and dry finish, with a bit of alcohol warmth. Delicious!
