Draft @ Schooner Exact Tap Room, Seattle, WA. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel aroma with woody hints. Fruity sweetish malty barrel flavor with hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty and slightly roasted caramel finish with woody hints.

On tap at Schooner Exact, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of whiskey barrels upfront, along with light caramel, and alcohol. Flavour is heavy on the whiskey as well, with huge boozy alcoholic woody notes, and more whiskey. Quite overwhelming, though somehow still drinkable, albeit slowly. Dominated by the whiskey - decent.

Medium brown. Big head. Sweet and a light sticky dark sugar. Rouch of apple note. Boozy, has a strong barrel note, so sticky as well. Assertive and not necessarily balanced.

Draft - Boozy bourbon notes, apple and oak. Cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Boozy bourbon, some anise and lots of booze in the finish. A bit too hot for me.

bhensonb (15958) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 25, 2015
Bomber from Special Brews in Lynwood, WA. Pours dark brown with a creamy/foamy tan head. Mild bourbon and a little chocolate aroma through a lot of head. Med body or so. Flavor is bourbon, wood, chocolate. Decent drink. Glad I didn’t keep it til summer. Finishes somewhat astringent with chocolate here and there. Bourbon too.

A very well balanced ale. Rich and luxurious, equal parts dark and chocolatey, roasted, and vanilla Oaked goodness. Hops still shine through the barrels a bit. An excellent brew."
