Brewed in a post-modern Northwest IPA fashion, this beers lightly-sweet malt base balances the Chinook and Columbus hops and huge late additions of Citra hops for flavor and aroma. Full of flavor, this beer is like drinking straight off the hopvine.

Can from Sake no Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Fruity nose, with citrus, some tropical fruit, caramel. A bit dank. Copper/orange color. Citrus, caramel, crackers, earthy piney hop, mild finish with minimal bitterness. Medium-heavy body. Near the body and feel of an imperial IPA. Not sure how this could be their 15th anniversary ... the can says "since 2006"?

From a sixer in Seattle. Thanks to Julie for surprising me with this! Rich clear orange with significant foamy head. Inviting pine-citrus aroma, rather typical northwest hop profile, but delicious. Clean bitter sip, a little lighter in the body than I was expecting. Balanced sweet character, clean medicinal mint, sharp and clean finish. Pretty darn tasty, a good daily example of a good PNW IPA but not something Ill seek out.

On tap at Belmont Ststion. Colour...hazy gold with a thick white head. Nose...heavily conifer oriented hops with sugar frosted tropical fruits and lemon curd. Palate...zesty, vibrant and fresh with grapefruit pulp and pith, rose hips and apple leaf. The entire palate is bitter and dry with an almost alum like feel. The finish is long, bitter and zippy with dust coated hops.

Heady citrus, peach, papaya, mango. Rich fruitiness with a juicy edge, grape, pear, guava, pine, peppermint, long hoppy finish. Another delicious Schooner brew with a nice hop kick, yummy.

Fantastic IPA with tons of citrus, and some slight pine. Very balanced, crisp, and not sweet. Has a light breadiness in the after taste.

Tap at Bud. Cloudy, deep orange with a low, fine head. Tropical fruit nose, grapefruit, quite malty and biscuity. Rich but not too sweet. Great fruit flavors, big bitterness, full body. Excellent.

Can from MItsuyas. Pours a clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Clean and crisp nose with grapefruit, papaya and light mango with some pine resin. Medium to light body with nice carbonation. Super drinkable and thirst-quenching. Good bitter and dry finish that leaves some fruit on the palate. Another great IPA from SE.

Can from Beer Cats. Hopvine IPA 6.1% made with Columbus, Chinook & Citra hops, continues the winning streak Schooner Exact is on - Ive thoroughly enjoyed every canned IPA of theirs Ive had. The beautiful can helps boost my enjoyment too. The aroma on this is terrific, full of huge aromatic fruit & pine notes. The deep copper color is a beauty and it has a massive head of beige foam that lingers before leaving tons of lacing behind. Medium-light bodied with a slightly raspy mouthfeel & a semi-dry finish that gives it a bit of a bite. The taste has just enough malt sweetness to support the oodles & oodles of hops. Pine, citrus, passionfruit, prickly pear, this is one flavorful IPA.

Bottle from BevX360, Bellingham
Hazy light amber color with medium sized head. Fruity aroma, mellow, peachy with a touch of tropical fruit. Off-dry mouthfeel, but smooth; it has a delicate toffee-malt backbone, a bit crackery, the right canvas for a hoppy beer; correct bitterness level, with a reasonable portion of hop fruitiness and some hop resins.
Fresh and drinkable; the beer I like to drink.
