In short: A very soapy brown hoppy ale. Meh.
How: Bottle 1L flip-top, consumed relatively fresh one month after purchase, bottle forwarded to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Very dark brown body topped by a medium beige head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is a bit soapy, perfumy hops and mild roastiness. Taste is basic sweet toasted cereals, toasted brown bread with brown sugar on top. The uber soapy hopping is not fun, a mix of perfume, flowers and soap bar. Strong yeast presence. Medium body with medium carbonation. I really got screwed up on this big 1L bottle, sometimes I wish very bad things to happen to small breweries, but despite that I like to think if myself as a good kind-hearted person, because it makes me feel better about not being one.

Piney and roasty. Good example of the style but nothing that sets it apart. Has the distinctive Schooner exact flavor. Pretty much a stouty version of the 3 Grid

Draft. Brown/black with a beige head. Aroma of citrus, pine, floral hops with some roast in there too. Taste is nice and hoppy, resinous and floral, with not too much roast.

Black body with creamy 1" chocolate top. Nice grainy roastyness with some warm nut chocolate in the nose. The body also reflects this roastiness, with a deep nuttiness and just a hint of chocolate. Hops are pretty subdued, more porter-like than an IPA--even a black one.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JAN 30, 2012
Dark brown color with tan head. Floral, pine, dank hop aromas with dark roast. Medium bodied. Dry black malt flavors with pine, floral, fruity hoppage, nicely bitter drying finish--good

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Nice hops aroma and fruit like aromas. Very tasty the malt and hops are super. Love this beer. Great IPA hops make from the fruit flavors with the added nutty malt this was quite good. Great job Schooner Exact.

Tap @ SE. Clear dark red-brown pour with a short off-white head which leaves a moderate, coarse lace. Fresh hop nose, dark-roasted malt medium body. Fairly dry middle and finish with coffee and toasted almond notes. Citrus and pine hops from the nose through the finish.
