COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Seamstress Union is back by popular demand. This raspberry wheat ale is made in very limited quantities each year. It is the prefect beer for a summer day. Raspberries along with unmalted wheat give this fruit beer a refreshing "tartness." hallertau hops and a dry finish further distinguish this wheat from other Northwest fruit beer. Its subtly "pink" hue further heightens the drinking experience. Why not? It is summer after all.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2010 On tap at 1022 South. Cloudy pale pink-orange pour with a white head which leaves a medium lace. Rasberry nose, medium body, slightly tart in the middle with a balanced middle and finish tending to sweetness. Captures the essence of rasberry without any annoying sweetness or fruitiness. One of the best fruit wheats I’ve had, second only to Ali’i Mango Wheat, which is sadly NLA.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 This cant possibly be anything like what it was 3 years or even a year ago. Its too good. Pours a cloudy medium gold with a thin white film on top. Mild raspberry nose, fruity but coherent, with some wheat tang for company. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Subtly balanced raspberry and nice husky wheat notes on the mid. Very approachable and refreshing.

On tap @ Schooner. Pours cloudy pale orange with a thick head. Taste is crisp wheat, minimal but present hops, and just a hint of fruit. So easy to overdo a fruit beer, this is great. Light and easy drinking, with just enough flavor. To be fair, the bike ride down there made this taste even better, but it’s still an awesome summer beer.

On draught at Bailey’s Taproom. Color of rosé. Aroma of wheat and artificial raspberry. Taste is quite weak, with some notes of raspberry. Quite smooth.

Bottle:   Straw, dirty, slightly darker with a pink hue, small frothy white head, little lacing.   Moderate Raspberry nose, pale wheat malts.   Doesn’t really translate onto the tongue, too soft.   At least its not all that mealy tho.   Soft wheaty notes.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.  Smells good, but its too soft on the tongue.   Faint Raspberries on the finish.   Clean, wheaty, not mealy, but not enough fruitiness.

On draft. I don’t tend to like fruit beers, but this one is decently realized. Heavier wheat aroma and taste helps counter the raspberry blast. Still too sweet for my liking.

This raspberry wheat is a bit flat, doesn't really excel at either the wheat portion or the raspberry portion. Not bad but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Serving: from tap at Hopvine Pub. Aroma: light raspberry. Appearance: very small, white, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, light pink/yellow body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor, and lightly sour, raspberry finish with average duration. Palate: light bodied with watery texture and flat-to-soft carbonation. Overall: interesting, thirst-quenching, but a bit of a novelty that I wouldn’t drink regularly.

Had on tap at their brewery. Lighter and easy drinking for the style. Not too sweet. Good berry and lager balance
