Sampled on 2/9/2010 at the brewpub. This barleywine pours a dark brown color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is dark, fruit, caramel, malty and sweet. A medium bodied barleywine. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are earthy. Very smooth. Very nice soft mouthfeel. Nice blend of Olde Woody and Old Inventory. Mouthfeel is full and round. On tap at Toronado for Barleywine Fest 2010. Pours a very dark but clear reddish-brown color with excellent lacing. Aroma is pretty mild for the style, with caramel and some slight fruity notes. Flavor is a little better but still not very much to it. Sweet caramel malt, dark fruits, and mild hops.
