Draught in a tiny iced shot glass (Jäger imprint, 2cL, seriously this is ludicrous). Nose is sweet and lightly candyish, lots of fruit and caramel. Chestnut brown body, flat, no head. Sweet but not quite cloying, warming but the alcohol is actually very well incorporated (better than many imperial stouts at a third of the abv). Just bursting, exploding with sticky fruit in the mouth, lots of grape and red berries but also getting into orange peel and apricot. For the oenophiles, very, very jammy! Caramel and light toffee, dark malt but little to no roast. Full body but not syrupy, I’m amazed at the balance and grace here, there’s nothing brash or sloppy like the mess Schorschbräu puts out. Though it’s a little hard to fully evaluate from such a small, cold sample, it’s still a beautiful dessert beer, really brought a smile to my face. Now, if only we could get this into bottles! On tap at the site in October. Make sure you don’t get the last slushy yeast from the bottle, it should be clear in your glass! Clear brown with no head. Aroma of malt, with fruity red apple, cherry and strawberry notes. Sweet and slightly tart malty flavour with lots of strawberry and some fine port or sherry notes. Clear dark amber without head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is extremely sweet. Very sweet finish with warming alcohol. Completely flat. Light brown. No carbonation and no head. Thick. The aroma is rich and malty. Lots of wort...soft and not aggressive at all. Sugar sweet, this is slightly roasty beer syrup. Fresh and bright-tasting, though I doubt it is brewed very often. There’s also some apricotty, cherry, plummy fruitiness. Nicely balanced for a superheavyweight. draft @ brewpub, served in a shot glass. Hazy red. Aroma is hot. Sweet, strawberry jam aroma. Sticky. A dessert treat beer, lots of fun, something that could be poured over ice cream.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub, they’re serving it only as 0,02 l, I would prefer double, but I guess it was just barely enough for rate, as it’s so strong beer. Anyway, it had murky orange to brown body without head, completely still but without legs as well. Quite fine aroma, apple fruity, caramel, somewhat milky acidic and with just a little bit of alcohol. Apple fruity flavor as well, also orange, slight caramel, and of course warming. Not complex at all. Wasn’t sweet at all as I was expected, rather balanced and although it’s sticky on palate it’s somehow watery and thin bodied. Sweetish warming finish. Alcohol is slightly felt in all aspects, but then, it’s much better hidden than in some other very strong beers. Definitely interesting and rare experience, like it. Draught? dunno really, at the brewpub. 2cl, maybe a bit too little for the price but it’s rare and 27.6% and everything so ok I guess. It was hazy and orange. Yoghurty, grainy, yeasty, lastic nose, some alcohol. Warming taste, alcohol, burns, malty and yeasty, orangey, slightly acidic. Salty, some bitterness from the hop. Nothing to compare it to so while I wasn’t all that impressed, it wasn’t exactly bad either so it’s ok. Twas fun when the bartender called it "Bierschnapps" when the people on the next table asked what it was, but heck, it’s not a bad description for someone who’s not into this. Served ice cold. Too cold - no smell, and not too much taste because of the iced temperature. Very sweet, suprisingly not harsh and yes, alcoholic - but less than I’d anticipated. Maybe more a shoot for a record (they advertise it as the world’s strongest beer) than for a taste, but an interesting brew. I would like to try it at room temperatures.

Clear light to medium amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, keller, wood, moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, aand a moderate alcohol burn in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft. 
Hand bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with no head. Rather authentic beer aroma where both malt and hops can be detected quite contrary to other extreme beers. Strangely enough only medium-bodied, completely flat, distinctly German malt character, some hops and a solid alcohol burn in the finish. But surprisingly beery, never cloying or liqueur-like. 240709
