Schorschbock ICE 20% combines the traditional brewing techniques with the refinement of the Icebock-method. After freezing down the already strong Bockbeer the frozen water (ice-cristals) is separated. What’s left is highly aromatic and very strong Icebock with 20 % Vol.

I dranked a bottle *hick* and it was great. Malt spirit I say, nigh a beer.

This is miraculously better than the 13 percent and somehow worse than the 30 percent. It’s pours brown w/ no head. It tastes kind of worty w/ a load of bananas. It’s slightly plastery and mineraly, very sweet and a little tart. It’s hot as hell w/ a good bunch of raisin and toffee flavor. Not exactly great but kind of interesting.

200ml waxed bottle. This one smeels and tastes liek juicy juice and wort but this is a bit better than the 13 thanks to the smack of booze covering alot of it up.

Shared 200 ml. bottle poured to mini snifters showing a darkest brown color, with some ruby highlighting, initial brown bubbles that quickly diminished to no head, no lacing, but leggy spots on the glass. The nose was nearly roasted, cocoa, dark fruit, caramel & toffee sweetness, and more than ready alcohol. Full bodied, with a syrupy texture, the esters as plum, concord grape skins, and aged, dark cherry lingered heavily in the taste, with sweetness, and a good deal of warmth. Very cordial-like. The modest portion was just enough.

Dark brown, almost black color with almost no head at all. Rich intensity in the aroma. Fruity, raisins, chocolate and dark malt. Full bodied and a quite soft carbonation. Not far away from flat. Quite sweet but not cloying or sticky. Oily texture. Rich complex flavor. Dried fruits, prunes, raisins, chocolate and dark malt. Powerful and nice evening sipper. Quite well hidden alcohol.

33cl bottle - thanks Jack! Dark brown hue. Oatmeal/spice cookie nose. Huge dark aged/dried orchard & stone fruit flavor. Heavy body & moderate carbonation.

Piwo ma ciemno brunatną barwę, piany kompletnie brak. W zapachu jest bardzo wyraźny alkohol, ale nie jest gryzący. Raczej szlachetny, stonowany. Następnie aromat to wyraźne suszone owoce (śliwka), trochę kojarzące się z wigilijnym kompotem z suszu. Piwo jest niesamowicie gęste. Smak troszkę kojarzący się z porto, dużo owoców, następnie nuty czekoladowe. Całość słodka i alkoholowa. Bardzo rozgrzewające.

Wax (or plastic) sealed flip-top bottle. Dark brown, nearly still, with golden highlights. No head whatsoever. Aroma is sweet and densely malty, brown bread with notes of chocolate. The palate is syrupy in density, mouth coating and sticky. Chewy thick malts, brown bread and molasses and cherry pits and dust. Finish has alcohol vapours and salt. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting, but it still is tough to persist through this whole thing-- I’m getting a headache.

W aromacie sporo karmelu, śliwki, alkohol czyli doppelbock na sterydach. W smaku zaś bardzo przyjemny orzech, karmel, lekka czekolada i gęste czerwone wino. Rozgrzewanie w przełyku wyraźne, ale w granicy przyzwoitości. Finisz wyraźnie orzechowy. Dla wielbicieli porto.

100ml bottle. Dark brown body, absolutely no head, floating sediment. Aroma is very boozy with prunes and figs, tons of caramel. Taste is strongly boozy and sweet: caramel, prunes in alcohol, woodsy, licorice. Unusual to say at least.
