UPDATED: MAR 30, 2012 Rating #707, bottle from Pi Pa Po Biere, Berlin

Brown-black appearance, really no head. Plums, raisins, alcohol, a bit smoke in the aroma. Strawberry-jam. Flavor is liquorice, blackberry, raisins, smoke, alcohol. Bitter finish and comfortable alcohol-burn. Aftertaste of ash. Palate is thick and soft with minimal carbonation.

Bottle at Bills, who would bring this to a juice session? Pours brown with no head. Soy and peat with sweet dark fruits, cough syrup and some heat, baked ham, and brown sugar on top. Pure filth from Germany

nybol (2347) - DENMARK - JUN 6, 2016

Dunkelbraun fast schwarz, kein Schaum! Ölig im Mund. Portwein Aroma, Rosinen, Hefe. Rauch, Sehr süss, Karamell. Hat kaum noch Weizenbiercharakter. Enttäuschend.

TEJA (3257) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 6, 2015
Bottle sampled at Björn, thanks. No head as could be expected from a 16% beer. Clear light brown color. Complex aroma withboth benzaldehyde and raisins in a fine mix. Big caramell taste and a big body with small bitterness.

Holmen2 (4036) - NORWAY - APR 5, 2014
Cloudy dark brown. No head. Smoked bacon and bananas in aroma. More refreshing and balanced taste with berries.

abemorsten (3683) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - APR 5, 2014
Small bottle kindly shared by Sigmund. Misty nut mahogany body. No head. Malty nose with hints of banana. Heavy sweet, with hints of hemp rope. Full bodied and flat.

Ingen nellik.

Sigmund (7917) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 5, 2014
Shared 330 ml swingtop bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. Dark brown colour. Very malty aroma, like an barleywine. Malty and oaky flavour, again like a barleywine, hints of fortified wine, but hardly any typical "wheaty" character. Warming mouthfeel, as expected.

gunnar (9696) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 5, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours clear dark amberish witrh no head at all. Aroma of earthy malts. Taste is utterly sweet, almost undrinkable. Drainpour.

Beerhunter111 (22515) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2014
Dunkelbraunes Bier, Schaum existiert nicht. Geruch sehr stark alkoholisch fruchtig, stark malzig. Geschmack sehr fruchtig, Dörrobst, wärmend, sehr brennend alkoholisch.
