Bottle (341 ml). Split 2-ways with Minderbinder. To be honest, we didn’t finished it.

Appearance: Clear golden/orange with a small white head and some lacing.

Aroma: Perfume, yeast/spices, alcohol notes (which is kind of weird for a 5 % abv beer) and light rotten fruits.

Taste: Some spiciness, rotten fruits, perfumy notes an alcohol.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Fruity finish.

Overall: It’s pretty bad, but at least it can be drunk without the fear of passing away unlike La Place du Marché and Douce Caresse.

Summer 2012 Had this as part of a mixed 6-pack from a convenience store on St-Laurent. It poured a clear light amber with a malty caramel aroma but then with the first sip it completely fell apart. This sucked, the whole 6 pack was horrible, the color & look were fine for each style but they must have been infected or past their prime because every single beer tasted like bile. My brother finished them as no one else wanted to touch the stuff.

pours light golden with a tiny off-white head, no retention. faint malts, some caramel, herbal bland notes, lightly acidic profile - bottling defect. almost aggressive carbonation, very light body, no finish.

[email protected] BeerFest 2010. Golden colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild fudge, some herbs and mild wooden notes. Flavour consists of the same in a quite watery and thin way.

Haven’t been very impressed by Schoune beers in the past so I have avoided them but decided to give them another try. Can’t say I am very impressed by this beer either even if it is not as bad as their other beers I have tried. The aroma is actually fairly pleasant and I initially thought this might be a decent beer. However, the taste is bland and watery with a little bit of caramel. Tastes like a macro rousse. However, unlike some of their other beers in is not unpleasant or undrinkeable. Still Schoune is making a strong case for itself as the worst Quebec microbrasserie.
