Roasted chocolate aroma, toffee, cocoa, licorice, figs, raisins, vanilla notes, some coffee, some caramel. Malty roasted flavor, figs, raisins, soot, licorice, dades, citrus, caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla notes, biscuits, toffee notes, woody notes, some brown sugar. Tap @ Fermentoren, Cph. Pours opaque black with a small, staying, creamy, beige film head. Aroma has lots of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee and sweet vanilla, light liquorice. Medium carbonation, fine creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of coffee, salty liquorice, dry roasted malts. Lingering malty bitterness. Quite lovely and very balanced. Draught, small glass, served comfortably chilled at the brewpub. Low, but lasting tan-coloured head to an all black body appearance. Confectionery malts on the nose, slightly roasted. Sweet mocha chocolate, prunes, and mid-sweet liquorice to the taste buds with roasted coffee towards the ending tingled with warming alcohol. Very smooth in the mouth. Oily palate. Full bodied. Rich, creamy Imperial Coffee Stout. Almost 20 litres of espresso gives this beer a coffee-punch out of this world. An excellent double-mashed ale, that is unfortunately a one-off....
