Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, and hint of coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, caramel and hint of coffee and licorice. Taste is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Patrick’s. A black one topped by a small off-white head. Curtains. Light roasted aroma with raisins and hints of coffee. It’s full bodied and nicely carbonated, semi-dry. Roasted malts, coffee hints, some raisins and a decent bitterness in the flavor, lasting for a good while. Quite nice this one. 150710
